Ok well like the title suggests I'm saying Tsunade doesn't suck.
And I didn't search this to see if people have talked about it so if they have sorry.
I notice a lot that people underestimate Tsunade and I have to agree that I too have doubted her as a character.
However she is not as weak as some people think she is. Tsunade is from the Senju clan and we can presume she is also from the Uzumaki. Both these clans are known for their vitality and over all power and endurance.
Given her body and her power mixed with her Medical knowledge she is very powerful. Now like all characters she has flaw and well many of them.
People think just because someone has long range and are very skilled Tsunade doesn't stand a chance. Well Tsunade is an expert at evasion and discovering the way her opponent moves. Seeing how well Sakura did against Sasori we should assume Tsunade is much more skilled though that isn't necessarily true.
But given her skill with evasion and knowing what her enemy might do next this gives her an upper hand. Another thing is that since she knows she is short ranged and and she is an evasion expert it should be assumed she has some sort of skill to help in long range battles, again this isn't necessarily true either.
But what we have been shown of her skills sorta makes her look like a push over and many people doubt her abilities. Remember just because it doesn't show what she can do doesn't mean she can't. Look at when the Third fought the First and second. They seemed under powered so why are they revered as supreme shinobi? Its plot failure it wasn't well thought out this does not make them push overs though they just were not portrayed correctly.
So don't judge certain characters on their ability from what we've seen but rather go with how they are revered in the manga and anime. There are reasons certain characters are highly mentioned and looked up to or feared. But sadly the manga and anime doesn't show how truly great some of them are.
For anyone that reads all of this wow and thank you, hopefully you get what my very long written point is and I hope it makes sense to you. and if you believe these reasons are true spread the belief to people that seem to underestimate certain characters.
