Tsunada is disappointing

The only thing she's done is heal!

It's really disappointing actually. She's a legendary Sannin. She's supposed to be a super strong shinobi! I understand she was known for her healing abilities, but she should still be able to do something besides yelling "THAT'S MY GRANDFATHER'S!!!"

In the beginning of the series, everyone thought the Legendary Sannin were the strongest ninja in the Naruto universe. All the fans thought they were invincible.

Then we see Tsunade almost get killed by Kabuto. That was a moment. It's like, why is Tsunade, one of the Legendary Sannin, getting her @ss wooped by a snot-nosed little punk? All Kabuto was known for (at that point of the story) was kissing up to Orochimaru. I know eventually Tsunade came out on top, but it shouldn't have been a challenge for her. It should have been like Super Saiyan 4 Goku vs Raditz. Ok, not that extreme, but you get the point.

Jiraiya lost to Pein, one of the strongest Naruto villains ever. That's respectable. Even Pein said that if Jiraiya had known his secret, Jiraiya would have won. He was one of the most respected ninjas in the Naruto universe.

Orochimaru was killed by Sasuke (he was technically killed/sealed by Itachi but that's besides the point. Let's just say Sasuke killed Orochimaru). The only reason Sasuke was able to kill Orochimaru was because he was extremely sick and Orochimaru wasn't trying to kill him, he was trying to steal his body. Respectable? Sort of... I guess. Not really. But whatever. Point is he was very strong. He was feared.

But Tsunade? What has she been known for besides healing and her brute strength? Can she do anything against Madara? Is she basically useless?

It's really disappointing because, regardless of her incompetence, she's still one of my favorite characters. I want to see her do something. Show everyone that you're not just Heal and Hulk-Smash! Show everyone why the Legendary Sannin are known throughout the ninja world! Show everyone why you were chosen as the 5th Hokage!

I just really want her to do something useful...

In fact Tsunade is a rather impressive ninja, possibly the greatest female ninja alive, not only is she a senju with impressive chakra reserves and the most amazing medical nin-skills and the medical feats unlike on any other ninja seen in the series but she's also supposedly incredibly strong in terms of raw power.

Jiraiya: "That Tsunade, her freakish strength hasn't changed... I remember being punched by her and ending up 100 meters away"

Not to mention how she survived that Heavenly Transfer teleport technique that was supposedly only gonna work with the super tough old Raikage...

Tsunade is awesome, however I would admit her combat feats against the top baddies haven't been quite impressive, but we shall see what the future holds out for her.

well, let's just wait and see what Lady Tsunade has in store for us. their fight against madara has just started to unfold.
Lady Tsunade healed and protected all the people from Konoha when Pain attacked it, think about that.

You do realize that she healed herself and Raikage through a technique that was sure to rip them to shreds? Not only that healed Oonoki and the other kages to fight Madara.

I feel so bad for med ninja in this Manga. They get no respect, and some forget that Sakura beat Sasori. Which is no small feat...

Just chill out on calling people out. Tsunade was called a legendary sannin for a reason. And Orochimaru nor Jiraiya denied or ever questioned her, so there's no doubt in my mind she has something in store.

(Tsunade also saved a lot of the village along with Naruto, protecting and healing. Which was also forgotten.)

Not to be an ass or anything, but Jiraiya and Orochimaru would'nt exactly fare better than her against Madara.
Compared to Madara they're all...well ants.

Tsunade is actually more helpfull than them here as well, she gets everyone back on their feet.
If not for her the Kage would probably already be killed off without too much hassle.

I myself as a loving fan of Tsunade has been very much disappointed about her place in the manga. She's strong, yes, but that's all about the hype and reputations. Kishi never did showcase her true abilities, just pure hypes:

She's one of the Legendary Sannins
She's the world's strongest woman
World's best combat-medical ninja
Granddaughter of Hashirama Senju
Granddaughter of the 9 Tails Kurma, Mito Uzumaki.
She's a Senju-Uzumaki breed.

and many more yet, whenever there's an opportunity for her to fight, she's always outshined and always resort into healing. I've always been optimistic about this that Kishi is saving Tsunade for the best. I hope that this is during a worthy opponent like Madara.

Tsunade is a senjuu branded ninja. She still hasn't shown her senjuu side till now. Afterall SENJUU, this word is full of mysteries even now, what kind of powers they might have possessed to dominate even uchiha is not revealed yet. What i think is that kishi might bring some amazing trump card with the introduction of senjuu powers which will turn the tide of this battle.
