The power of tsukuyomi depends on the user. Sasuke can't control space and time of his tsukuyomi, so it's because of that, that it's breakable. I don't support Itachi very often, but you're wrong. It's already stated in the manga and Kakashi disagrees with you:

I agree that tsukuyomi can't kill though. I don't know why Itachi fans believe it's a one-shot technique. It all depends on the opponents mind

Well kakashi wonders why Itachi didn't just kill him while he was in it, which leads me to believe he could kill with it. But mainly it leaves them vulnerable to a killing blow, easily.

Huh...cute thread.

Your first fallacious point lies in what you say about Sasuke. While it's true Sasuke used Tsukuyomi on Killer Bee, he only broke out of it as Sasuke's Tsukuyomi and Genjutsu in general is inferior to Itachi's. Namely, that Sasuke cannot manipulate time in his, which brings me to my next point, that Sasuke's is not instant. This was something that was attested by Tobi in Sasuke's bout with Danzo. [ ]

With the above in mind, Itachi's Tsukuyomi is instant, as described on two canonical occasions. [ ] [ ] Kakashi also claims that there is no cancelling the effects of it. This is because Itachi's Tsukuyomi and I will repeat again for those who cannot comphrenend this simple fact, that it is Itachi's Tsukuyomi which cannot be broken by normal means, unless you're an Uchiha; something which was proven when Sasuke broke out of it in their destined battle. Additionally, Kakashi did not survive Tsukuyomi himself; Tsunade healed him. And this was because Itachi went easy on Kakashi, like Kakashi himself stated: "He could have killed me if he wanted to..."

Riddle me this: how can you break a technique that affects you in an instant? To put the conjecture forward that:

  • One must recognize the Genjutsu.
  • Then one must cancel it's effects.

Like Kakashi said, it's effects cannot be cancelled. And to break a technique faster than an instant makes absolutely no sense.

Thus, to use Sasuke as an example is completely illogical and fallacious. Though, like I said, cute thread.

Damn, just close the thread now..this guy^ completely destroyed every argument made in this thread lol

ITS IF YOU LET IT AFFECT YOU. Jinchuuriki.. the Tailed beast it self could take over...... so its a fail against a Jinchuriki.

Once you've been caught, you can't 'choose' whether or not it will affect you. That's if the Bijuu can take over in an instant. IF.

It doesn't have to kill because it can put someone in the hospital for days, after that a simple kunai to the face would suffice.

When someone is caught in a genjtusu from Itachi they tend to collapse meaning he can easily kill them while they are trapped in the genjutsu.

Not sure, but it may be possible that Kakashi was wondering why he didn't take advantage of the situation to take him down in the real world. It's validated by the fact that in the second meeting, Kakashi said he had to flee away because of the toll after the techniques use. Tsukuyomi has already been use plenty of time in this manga and it has never killed an opponent. Even databook doesn't mention it. It only causes a break-down in the opponents spirit

And why does it break-down the opponent's spirit? Because the victim gets scared. Simple as that. Sorry, but if what I stated about SM chakra disruption to break out of Tsukuyomi or any other way is wrong, then Itachi > Hashirama, which Kabuto however stated to be wrong.

You guys keep coming with examples, but have not shown how chakra disruption doesn't work.

No he didn't kill Itachi because Itachi was never evil to begin with. He went to the village to warn the elders about Madara(Tobi), if he really wanted to kill Kakashi he'd be dead. Guy was too busy fighting Kisame and Kurenai and Asuma were WAY too fodder to make any kind of contribution.

Lol. Chakra disruption doesn't work because Kakashi couldn't break out of it. He has the sharingan and you think he just didn't try?

Kongonyoi? no clue what that is.
As far as the manga goes in KKG:

1. Rinnegan
2. Mokuton.

Forget it, your response was enough. Besides it seems you are already being grilled, me joining wouldn't help.
Btw tsukuyomi nearly killed kakashi. If kurenai, gai and asuam weren't there he would've drowned, lmao that is tsukuyomi killing. In all seriousness though, if an opponent eats tsukuyomi they would end up like kakashi or part 1 sasuke. GG

You miss the point. I'm not saying, he couldn't have kill them, but that tsukuyomi itself can't kill or it would be more correct to say, it depends on the opponents spirit. I believe that someone like Hidan would receive no mental damage even if he gets tsukuyomi'd. He may in the contrary even enjoy it. I even created a thread concerning it:

You used Sasuke'sTsukyomi as an exemple , and now you're telling me you're talking about Itachi's ??
If Bee had a hard time breaking sasuke's Genjutsu (no proof it's a Tsukyomi) , He is far away from breaking Itachi's. :) because it can't be broken normally...

I'm smelling some hate.

It is, Only two poeple survived it , Sasuke broke it and Kakashi because Itachi spared his life.

Because it is still TSUKUYOMI. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT HOW TO BREAK IT. YET YOU HAVE NOT PROVEN HOW CHAKRA DISRUPTION CAN'T BREAK IT. Bee had a hard time? And no proof its a Tsukuyomi? then why are you even on this thread.. Sasuke using Tsukuyomi is common knowledge if you know about the MS.

And how many of the Elite people were affected by it? I mean could've killed Obito.. ;] if it was that OP..

Forget it, your response was enough. Besides it seems you are already being grilled, me joining wouldn't help.

Ok sir, please actually read the thread and then respond... In the thread it states , SM Naruto and people on his level who are able to disrupt their chakra , can break it.

SM Naruto is beyond Kakashi's league.. or anyone other jounin in the Konoha.

Lol. Chakra disruption doesn't work because Kakashi couldn't break out of it. He has the sharingan and you think he just didn't try?

Why are you askin me? Does it show that he tried? or even hints? no. He was already scared as hell.

Once you've been caught, you can't 'choose' whether or not it will affect you. That's if the Bijuu can take over in an instant. IF.

Ok listen ma'am. The affects are not INSTANT.. the genjutsu itself is Instant.. I'm talking about from whats shown, not what Kakashi stated. Affects against Kakashi lowered his spirit and etc, why? Because he was scared in the genjutsu.

This technique is so hyped up by the fans of Itachi.. why? Cause of the page where Itachi says only the ones who are related to him, can break it.. lmao. So based on that page people basically cut off the "normal way" of canceling a genjutsu, chakra disruption, from the list of ways to stop Tsukuyomi. Which is freaking wrong.

Sasuke Uchiha used Tsukuyomi on Killer B, how was Killer B able to comeback? oh yea, because of Chakra disruption.

Tsukuyomi is a Genjutsu, all genjutsus are the same, they deal with chakra manipulation inside the victim's body. So Tsukuyomi is no different. People like SM Naruto and Jiraya and others who are able to disrupt their chakra and have strong minds (Otherwise it will affect you mentally , like it did to Kakashi) can break out of it.

Stop overrating something, that follows the simple law of breaking a Genjutsu.

Tsukuyomi is nothing special, if your talking about breaking it.

sm naruto can break tsukyomi cuz he has strong mentality ?

yeah that why he was left helpless a simple finger genjutsu even though he forcefully released his chakra

Itachi's Tsukyomi will only take 1sec , not enough time to break out of it even if you have a friend or Even if you're a jinchuricki.
and that's why Danzo said Itachi's Tsukyomi is superior to Sasuke's...
Yeah , there's no proof that Sasuke's genjutsu is a Tsukyomi , who said it's not a basic Sharingan or a basic MS genjutsu ?

And Sasuke's takes 1 minute?
Danzo stated Sasuke's is inferior because he couldn't MANIPULATE it as good as Itachi, not because of the freaking time.

Susan'o requirements : Tsukuyomi + Amaterasu.

sm naruto can break cuz he has strong mentality ?

yeah that why he was left helpless a simple finger genjutsu even though he forcefully released his chakra

SM Chakra....Changes your whole Chakra system. ;]. I gave you a reason, i never gave you the scenario now did I.
