I believe Oonoki does for the simple facts that Gaara's ultimate defense was being destroyed by Deidara's C1 pretty easily(dust release is alot stronger) and that Oonoki's ability to make things light and heavy could completely negate Gaara's sand if it touches him.

i think gaara... if oonoki was younger id vote him but in his old he tires too fast as we have seen in his fight with muu... and his dust teckniques might pierce gaaras sand but it takes some time to charge them gaara wouldant give him that time...

Oonoki. Gaara's ultimate defense is penetrated by weaker attacks than dust release, and dust release's AoE is huge. Gaara's problem is that he always tries to block attacks he never tries to dodge, and unless you have susanoo, you have to dodge when going up against dust release.

sand is not faster than amaterasu. This is proven as gaara can't even catch jouki boy in a desert. Unless you are going to make the claim that jouki boy is waaay faster than amaterasu. And its not like in 3-5 seconds he can create a defense strong enough to tank a dust release.

Dust release =/= explosion. It doesn't merely blow up, it disintegrates things within its radius, which is why gaara can't defend against it.

Look at part 1. Gaara as a little kid stood 4 feet away from an explosion caused by 20 paper bombs and was undamaged, yet his older and more powerful defenses get penetrated by chidori.

Its the same here, dust release is not an explosion, but creates a radius of disintegration, and gaara's sand can't stop something as powerful as that.

His sand is not much faster than regular sand, and blocking an attack =/= being as fast as an attack. Look at edo madara. he blocks A's punch, yet he this does not mean he is as fast as A.

By this logic then, he would only be able to use the little sand in his gourd to stop dust release, which is no where near enough.

And then you would also have to explain why gaara didn't simply use his gourd's sand to catch jouki boy since it should be an easy task since gaara's sand is faster than amaterasu.

Gaara's sand isn't fast enough to blitz anybody. Also Oonoki could just fly out of his range and once again his dust release only takes like 3 seconds and once he fires it it's insanely fast. You make it sound like it takes 3 minutes.

he didan't use it because he used it for protection and if he fought oonoki he wouldant use it for protection because he knows that sand cant stop dust tecqunike...
