Orochimaru is just stronger than kakashi. Remember how kakashi was trembling on sight of Orochimaru:flaw: when Kakashi was sealing sasuke's curse seal.
What people are not realizing is the difference in Kamui's activation and completion speeds compared to when he first used it on Deidara, to now. The reason why Deidara was able to throw off Kakashi's aim by slightly nudging his body, was because it took Kakashi a considerable amount of time to focus his aim, and follow through with actively consuming the target. Back then, the enemy would have enough time to understand what is happening and produce countermeasures (or at the very least, disrupting Kakashi's aim).

The reason why posters are noting the difference in speed with Kamui is not because the speed of the target, but the speed of the jutsu's consumption speed. At Kakashi's current level, should he decide to consume a human target, the speed at which he can now activate and complete the jutsu will be too fast for the opponent to mount a proper counter. The target will be afforded no time to comprehend that they are being sucked in by a high level space/time Doujutsu. Arguing whether the enemy can dodge it by moving zigzag or in a linear path is redundant, due to the fact that the elapsed time that occurs between Kamui's initiation and completion will not allow the target to register what is happening in enough time to conduct any such movements. Kakashi can now switch between his standard Sharingan and his Mangekyou instantly. So quickly, that a Rinnegan is totally unable to tell that the jutsu has even been used. There is virtually no previous indication of Kakashi's activation of his MS at his current level. The opponent will have no means of knowing precisely when Kakashi will engage them with Kamui, thus they will not know when to adopt the strategy of moving chaotically so as to hinder Kakashi's aim. What we must also remember is that Kakashi's skill with the normal Sharingan rivals Itachi's normal sharingan (not ms) (with the exception of Genjutsu). Whatever countermeasures or movements the opponent decides to conduct to avoid Kamui, Kakashi will know of their movements before they are actually conducted. This, combined with the current speed at which Kamui can be activated and consume it's target, makes Kamui, in essence, an unavoidable jutsu most the time (There are exceptions like Tobi etc)
Kishimoto didn't think of a Kamui limitation, so that jutsu is now loyal to plot, in which what unimportant character can be 1 shotted. He probably COULD use it free as pee, but plot stops him from Kamui'ing people like Deva, who at the time still had use for the story.

I've been saying this for a long ass time but time and time again I got flames for saying such things.
It's about time people started to realize the strength of Kakashi and Guy.
Kakashis is equal to them in almost every way but has the ocular advantage with the Sharingan(MS).
Hate to say it but Kakashi could one-shot both of the Sannin with Kamui if the need be.
Gai could at least whoop Jiraiyas ass with nonstop taijutsu, wouldn't work on Oro though.

Kakashi only has the 1st Gate and that is not faster than Orochimaru or as mobile and flexible as Orochimaru's slithering mode.
Kakashi is not smarter than Orochimaru. Orochimaru has performed countless experiments,his a boody mad scientist. he also has more experience than Kakashi.
How is Kakashi a better swordsman than Orochimaru ?
The only sword-skills Kakashi has shown are with a Kunai,Orochimaru has the Sword of Kusanagi and is able to attack with it from his mouth,hands and the mouths of other snakes

From what we have seen, Kakashi is the smarter shinobi.
They should be comparable in speed (although with the first gate Kakashi is obviously faster), however if you read some of my earlier posts I explain how Kakashi has the better speed feats.
And has a sharingan. So his reactions are obviously better.

And we never saw the 8th Gate of Gai, meaning he still has a lot of skills to show us. And with the Eighth Gate revealed you all would realize Gai's True Power. Adding Kakashi+Kamui+Mangekyo Sharingan is overkill.

They both has 4.5 in the last databook.Kakashi increased his speed since that time while orochimaru died.
You have no proof that Orochimaru is faster.the first gate removes the restraints of the brain on the muscles so 100% of their strength can be used whereas normally, a person can only use 20% of their muscles' strength to keep them from disintegrating.

Kakashi is known as one of the smartest character in the manga,Orochimaru is more crazy than smart in batle.
Kakashi's swords skill infuled of ligthing element is incredibly strong.The lighting element give a boost of power as you can see when he slashed the Oroginal Samehada owner.And Kakashi's lighting was able to cut Edo v2 Jins's cloak while orochimaru's kusanagi coulnd't cut Naruto's cloak.

You truly believe kakashi is smarter than shikamaru or better than rock lee at taijutsu or even better than kiba at sniffing around? Then you know nothing. And just because he was praised a couple of times does not really mean anything.
Ppl are ovestretching thing here because they possess 1 tech w/ can defeat them doesn't mean they are stronger overall infact overall they pale in comparism to j-man and oro .How will kakashi or gai finish oro w/ his edo summons or jiraiya whose jutsu execution and timing is unpredictable? And your reasoning is flawed, jiraiya and oro are placed in high regard than even the current set of kages. Oro as a major villian whose existence is still affecting the plot till today and jiraiya train minato and naruto the main character and his father and both regard him as legendary figure.

With the first gate Kakashi may be faster, but we've only seen him use to climb a mountain.
And in the war arc we saw him wield Zabuza's sword and fight with it for a while, not even for any lengthy period. While we saw Orochimaru fight with his sword against the Third Hokage, for a longer period of time.
Yeah, his reactions may be better, but Oro's body is a slithering flexible mess. He can extend and move his body in almost any direction he wishes, so Kakashi's reactions aren't too above his.
