They can beat Tsunade.
They can beat Jiraiya. (Jiraiya takes it more often than not though)
Kakashi can beat Orochimaru. (Oro is a horrible matchup for Gai, but with edo tensei prepped he has the advantage over Kakashi) However Kakashi has the skill and jutsu to take him out also. It can go either way.
So how are they not sannin level again?

However your opinion differs from my mine (I have no idea why since the manga has made it obvious Kakashi and Gai are superior to Tsunade, feat-wise)
