For one Gai vs Tsunade. You really think he could beat her? She only needs to use her insane recovering jutsu (forget it's name) and then she can already beat Gai.

I think this thread is all wrong purely because I don't put Gai on the same level as Kakashi.

PS Jirayra in sage mode would also thrash Gai and Orochimaru would easily thrash him too. Kakashi might be a different story but all 3 Sanin could easily defeat Gai in 1v1.

Well, did you see how the sannin all have that air of arrogant attitude about everything when they were first introduced, Tsunade called Itachi and Kisame low-lifes when she herself lost to Kabuto.
In shippuden Itachi and Kisame would´ve owned her with ease.
J-man and oro almost died cuz of 4-tail naruto yet kakashi and Gai were holding their own against 5 full-bijuus.

i know i know kakashi and guy are cool and all, but dont think just because they are lead characters in the series or because they are cool, they can beat the sannin, come on. i mean tsunade ok i believe you but jiraiya? orochimaru?. not even close. both of them were very smart, i know kakashi is smart and all, but at their level, their power doesn't compare, on the guy side, ok he can use the 7th gate, hes very fast, and all and i do believe that using that, he is able to beat them.

tsunade is one of the strongest in the narutovers, and if she can recover from damage as soon as she gets hit, well... she would outlast guy, but struggle considerably w/kakishi

as far as jiraya, sage mode is just next level above anyone else mentioned. if you're talking 1 on 1, none of the mentioned can stand with jiraya

I keep seeing Just 2 of the 3 sannins being involved in this. Its official that Kakashi and Gai have passed the sannins... That means all three of them? Not necessarily, Lately Tsunade has opened my eyes with what she has to lay on the table. Oro nearly un-killable who can take on naruto , also notable to be smart, Jiraya with the sage mode and justsu's he possess and tsunade who packs a punch, so much that Shes stronger than the 4th raikage . She can heal herself without seals, heal others, replenish chakra. If it were Kakashi and Gai vs the sannins meaning all of them kakashi and Gai would have a fight in their hands. The sannins were sannins for a reason because they're clearly op in their own way and tsunade would be a dangerous weapon that no one notices. She plays offensively and defenssively . She's a rubio she assists the team but scores too. Not saying the sannins would win because you must look at what Kakashi and Gai have. Sharingan and the 8 gates. They put up a fight against many strong opponents such as kisame, pain, tailed beast. They have their own fire power too. If they were to fight it would be hell of a fight. Remember though if people think tsunade so weak why's it that tsunade's showing Madara up each time he throws an obstacle at her. She isn't all that weak, powerful actually.

About Kakashi and Gai they fought for more than 24 hours before joining Naruto and Bee so they was very tired from their previous fight.Facing 5 unbrided jins when you fought for more than 24 hours is insane.

Despite it, they could manage to respond them and defend perfectly without getting serious damage.

They are fighting them at close range and are able to hit them.

Gai 6th gate showed that he can hit them and Kakashi test with raikiri since they should have rinnegan power.

Gai is able to take a bijuu with 6 th gate and Kakashi cut 6 cloacked jinchuricki cloak's arm whereas Orochimaru couldn't even make a scratch at Naruto 4 tails's mode cloack.

When Oro almost died against a brided bijuuball from the 4 tailed Naruto jin mode ,Kakashi and Gai was ready to use their best technique to defend against 5 bijuu ball of 5 full bijuu's power .

My opinion is that since I've seen them improved so much....to tango not only with the previous 7 swordsmen and the Tailed-Beast....I don't think Oro or J-man would do that....Oro had trouble with just Naruto....not Kurama...with the host...J-man showed the damage that Naruto had done to him in training....with just the cloak (initial 3 tails)....even in Sage mode J-man would be in trouble...

Kakashi beats Tsunade because of Kamui. Jiraiya I am not sure but Guy will defeat him. Orochimaru is very strong but if Kakashi and Guy do it at the same time then maybe?

There is no chance of Kakashi or Gai handling 4-tailed Naruto.

Orochimaru handled 4-tailed Naruto with a rejected body. He didn't even exhaust himself in that fight. Jiraiya could barely handle 4-tailed Naruto. Kakashi and Gai wouldn't stand a chance..

Hence, Jiraiya/Orochimaru > Kakashi/Gai.

You guys try and make crap up that isn't in the Manga. Everything in the Manga clearly indicates a gap in power between those two excellent Jonin - and the LEGENDARY SANNIN. Now quit failing.
