Many people assume that Yang=Sun and Yin=Moon.
This is incorrect as Yin+Yang give CT which is the moon.
Then there are those that assume that because of that, Yang=Full Moon and Yin=Crescent Moon. They assume that because Yin+Yang=Moon that both the seals are moon seals. That is also false.
Here is the truth.
Yin=darkness and Yang=light
Look at the image
Yang=light. The light source is merely the Sun.
Yin=darkness. But darkness has no source, so hence the Moon isn't Yin.
So Yang equals Sun in a way but Yin doesn't equal moon.
The Moon merely represents this light and dark dichotomy
The light side of the Moon is Yang and is bright because the Sun is reflecting off of it.
The dark side of the Moon is Yin and is dark because there is no light source shining on it.
In conclusion:
Yin= Darkness itself, not the moon
Yang=Light or Sun
So,
Moon=Yin & Yang
Sun=Yang only.
