I disagree. The first one would analyse whether or not regeneration would work on a brain before coming to that conclusion, while the second one wouldn't and simply wait for an explicit depiction in the manga.

Er no. "Logically" can be applied to any conclusion formed off of sound reasoning. By reasoning that Hidan spoke without his lungs attached to his head, one can logically conclude that Hidan does not need his lungs to speak because of the jutsu that granted him immortality.
