The first one. The second one is lazy bullshit for people who can't grasp that not everything will be spoon-fed to them and reasoning should be used every now and again.

An advocate of the first one would try to, for example, deduce whether or not Kamui would work on Yata Mirror, or if Susano'o does or doesn't require Amaterasu and Tsukiyomi.

The second choice would just say "Let's wait until it's said in the manga or by Kishi."

But there are exceptions for both sides.

Example for option 1: This character's regeneration can heal their brain, until its shown they cannot they can.

Thats wrong though.
