Jugo was able to remove and place biomatter ("flesh")from Kabuto and Sasuke (who had sage mode or a curse mark).

There are also extension abilities. And abilities to change form.

Kabuto resembles a dragon and Naruto a toad. One can assume there are transformations for each summon location and for each animal.

Then theres the deep connection with nature, in which a third energy mixes with physical and mental to make sage chakra. Jugo shows great connections to nature. When Naruto messed up in his training or gathered to much nature energy he begun to resemble a toad momentarily. Curse mark corroded its users.Perhaps this is just the nature of Orochimaru's chakra.

I believe Jugo has the purest sage mode and that the other versions like curse mark and toad sage mode and dragon sage mode are diffferent because they are variations based on their creator. (Such as Orochimaru or the toads).

Is senjutsu the key to everything? The power to divide ones conscience and pour abilities and essence into another.

I don't think Jugo's Sennin Mode is the pure form because he cannot even control it...

IMO, your sage mode depends on the Type of Nature your drawing upon, like Naruto is able to draw upon the Nature of the Toad? and Kabuto the Nature of the Snake?

Jugoo is completely different; his body adsorbs the Natural Chakra... So he himself isn't necessarily drawing upon a specific Nature type.

Good points. Although i dont see juugo as the purest form. Perhaps just another form as he called it sennin transformation. Suggesting that his clan practiced in a specific sage art like one would a kekkei genkai.

It was more like one of many sources instead of the only source.
But It may make more sense if Jugo's wasn't the purest form and his power involved snakes.

I think his clan's kekke genkai is a sage mode. He has a natural affinity for nature chakra and that's the most important part of activating sage mode.

The animals aren't a Medium, One draws upon the Animals Nature Type.

Juugo's Ability draws upon the the Force of Nature(Which means he can draw upon any Random type of Nature that is present);

He was using one to get the other, his research on Juugo's clan and the curse mark was all in an attempt to make his body compatible with nature chakra from Ryuuchidou, and tested on Sasuke and Kimimaro to ensure that their bodies would be suitible
