Even Senju+Uchiha can't awaken Rinnegan. Has to be Ashura chakra+ Indra chakra. Obito and Danzo may have had Ashura chakra via Hashi DNA, but they didn't have Indra chakra so no Rinnegan would have ever developed.

Key Point: Uchiha + Senju can never get Rinnegan unless it's specifically from the combined transmigrants of Hagaromo's children.

Add something to your theory. Hagoromo father is the Juubi. The price of gaining the power is bearing children. Hashirama being born of someone with 2 doujutsu and also having such vast amounts of chakra gave birth to the Rinnegan. If you say, "Why didn't his mother awaken it?" It's because it wasn't in her DNA to have it. She couldn't it required the DNA to do it. DNA allowing for the chakra to mix in a way that made it possible for the Rinny to be awoken in said individual as well her gaining the Sharingan from injesting the fruit not being born with it.<My theory on how she has it and the Juubi has it>.

Basically, Rinny starts at Hagoromo. His brother gave birth to the Hyuga clan. Hag gave birth to Senju, Uchiha, Uzumaki and countless others. He travelled. He was a sage. We all know what that means. Every Sage. Every Manga. Pervs.

Nope that's a cyclop's sharingan red and tomoe'd. I'm telling you Kaguya gained her sharingan from eating that fruit. Her sharingan is the exact same as the Juubi's. If we agree that Juubi has rinnegan then we agree Kaguya does too.

No, you see you can apply the concept of human genes. Kaguya had a partner which triggered the birth Hagoromo and his brother.
This means that Hagoromo has a new set of genes that could only consist of Ashura and Indra's chakra and that is why Kaguya
could not awaken the Rinnegan since her genes are different from Hagoromo since Hagoromo's cells are already mixed by Kaguya and her partner... UNLESS IF KAGUYA GAVE BIRTH ASEXUALLY then that would be a different story

he got it when he was injecting that hashirama statue. At first it did not give him the rinnegan instantly, so it probably has to take a while or ashura's chakra in hashirama had to sync in and took a lot of time to sync with madara's indra chakra for the rinnegan to activate
