Well, the Byakugan has almost x ray vision like qualites and can see through walls etc. With the sharingan, the user can see chakra and therefor by seeing the opponents chakra would be able to see him within the smokebomb. The Rinnegan is a mutation of the sharingan, and should be able to do the same thing although at a much higher level.

I then focus on my katon chakra and by moulding chakra into my chest then putting pressure on it, and finally spitting it out as several katon bullets. I aim each one at a shuriken, which makes each one ignite. As the shuriken hit your clone, the fire spreads from the shuriken and travels through your clone burning him in several areas due to the many shuriken.
Im guessing that when the shuriken hit you, you would burst into flames. This would be in addition to them piercing you, since the shuriken are hot, the wounds would close faster adding more pain and making them quite hard to remove. The heat could also burn your insides as it entered.

Direct that gas before you and then ignite it into a fireball and aim it towards my clone.

Alright, and please keep in mind that whenever using this jutsu, that is a short range jutsu that only researches a short distance. Furthermore, do not burn yourself in the process.

It is less wide, but is able to reach mid range. I then make it hit your clone and as the fire hits it, it begins to burn leaving scorch marks, and it disperses.*
A stream of fire, is usually more focused and can reach longer. Since it is more focused it will most likely do more damage, the down side is that it would only be suited for one opponent. Another downside is that it is easier to evade. The stream would most likely be not so wide, but taller.
A ball of fire, is a less focused attack usually meant to take down a group of opponents. It would also be harder to avoid than the stream, due to it being bigger. A downside is that it won't do as much damage, and won't have as much range as a stream. The ball would be more wide.

*I begin by making the Snake → Ram → Monkey → Boar → Horse → Tiger seals, and concentrating on my Katon chakra. I then concentrate it into my gut, and put pressure on it making it even more powerful. Then, push it into my mouth and make a ring around my mouth with my fingers. I then blow outwards, and the fireball comes out and hits a tree. It burns away through the bark until finally the entire tree is burned to a crisp.*
