*I enter the training grounds. This was going to be a good session. It's my first time teaching any of the non-elemental ninja arts, so this wave of students would help me learn from their own experiences. Time for some fun!*
*Seeing my student Rex, I walk over and greet him like a friend.*
Yo! I'm Souji Seta of Konoha, and we'll be tripping out today, based on what you wanted to learn. A little about myself; I'm a Hyuuga clan member with grey eyes that turn white when I use my Byakugan. I enjoy eating, sleeping, and spending time with friends and family, while kicking ass as a ninja, too! HA!

*Seeing his Sensei enter the training grounds, Rex ends his exercise and walks up to him. After learning a bit about his Sensei, Rex does the same and gives his introduction.*

*Rex scratches his head for a moment. He tries to remember everything about himself.*
Well I'm Rex. Rex Salazar of Suna. I'm the villages War General. I enjoy soap operas, traveling, fighting, playing sports, and being with the people who care about me. I'm apart of the Mandalorian clan and who specialize in using armor-based techniques. I'm sure you know my boss, Elric? He's in the same village as you.
*After saying this, he waits to see if his Sensei knew of the current leader and whether or not his response was enough.*

"Ah... the Mandalores? I have a close friend of mine in that clan, and yeah, Ed's a good friend of mine. Good to see we have mutual acquaintances. Nice to meet you, Rex!"
"Alright... so according to your application, you wanted Genjutsu. I'll be glad to start teaching you, but first, let's gauge your preexisting knowledge. I want you to tell me what you know about genjutsu, how it works and what it does. I'll fill in any gaps you may have missed. Furthermore, what motivates you to gain this power? What would you do once you have it?"

After Souji finishes, Rex realizes he got the names mixed up.
Did I say, Elric? I meant Stark. Sorry, I have problems remembering things.
Luckily, I write everything down in this journal in case I forget it.
Rex takes out a small book from his pouch and holds it up. The cover is red and has a gear-like icon on the lower right side. After showing it, he puts it right back into his pouch. Then he pulls his goggles down, having it cover his eyes. He takes a seat on the ground before responding.
Yeah, that's what I want. Well the way genjutsu is performed is the same way ninjutsu is performed. It requires chakra and hand-seals. The difference is that genjutsu doesn't target the enemies body like ninjutsu but, instead it targets their mind. The user pretty much messes with the targets senses by altering their chakra flow. Genjutsu can make you see things that aren't there. What motivates me? My rival and friend. He was always better at this skill than I was and he is in Uchiha clan. I always got my butt kicked with that Sharingan of his...What would I do?...I haven't really thought about it. Maybe use it against him? Use this power to protect my comrades?...Pass this skill on to next generation?....Maybe I'll do all three, heh.
After saying all this, Rex looks up at his Sensei and says

Rex smiled. He was sort of relieved. He didn't think he would get it. He made sure not to show any sort of anxiety in front of his Sensei.

Hmm...Both sound fine to me but, first...
Standing back up, he cracks his knuckles by forming the snake hand-seal and stretching the lower arms, having the two palms of his hands face outward in front of him. He does this towards his left. Once the sound of a crack is heard, he responds.
Well there are different ways of freeing yourself from an illusion. The first way is through pain. Basically, cause enough damage to your own body that it will release you from the enemies technique. Be it stabbing, burning, breaking a bone, biting your tongue (Although I wouldn't do that >_>) etc. Another way is to surge your own chakra or disturb it but, the amount needs to be greater than the foreign chakra. I guess if you inhale a strong enough smell it can snap you out of it....do you have an example for this?...

Does this also include the earth spear technique? I think I saw someone use it to break out of a gen. I couldn't tell the exact rank but, I think it was a C-rank since this technique is a B-rank but, Other than that, No no questions Sensei.

"The Earth spear technique is a little iffy... it relies on gradual chakra channeling throughout your body in a slow fashion, rather than the 'burst' of other jutsus. It might work, but it's probably not fast enough to break you out of an illusion on time. Good question."

Without saying another word, Souji channels his chakra and places Rex under the first illusion. They were both standing in a plain field, a clearing surrounded by trees in the forest. From Rex's point of view, he would notice that the trees would disappear, and a small lake would appear to his right.
"...Alright, if that's it, let's get this started!"

After finding no sign of the enemy, Rex simply returned back to the training grounds, now that his break was over and he needed to continue his training.
I see. Okay and yeah I'm ready. said Rex, as his Sensei explains to him we needed to do. He takes a moment to look at his surroundings. He looks down at the grass he was standing on, watching them being pushed back from the calm wind. This here for a spar he thought to himself. He looks back up and looks around. From a distance and all around, he could see the trees with leaves being blown by the wind as well. After looking around and keeping in mind of all the things he saw, he closes his eyes and takes a deep breath before exhaling. He then proceeds to open eyes again and takes a look at his surroundings once more.
Having looked from left to right and back, it was obvious what was missing and what wasn't their previously. The grassy plain was still there but, the trees that surrounded him weren't present. He takes note of the lake to his right, something that wasn't there before only the trees from the forest and the ground that they stood on. This must be the illusion he thought. Remembering the different methods of release and looking at his cheat sheet as he takes it out from his pocket, he believes his only option for the moment was to get out through pain since he wasn't sure if he could use Kai just yet. Since he just started training, Rex assumes this illusion was a basic one. A D-rank. And so following the release method for D-ranks, Rex removes the glove in his left hand and bites his thumb in order to draw blood. The pain would break him out of the illusion, and as this happens and from his point of view, he looks at the lake once more and notices that it was starting to fade away as the trees around him became visible again. Once he was free, he tells his Sensei what it was like.
I saw a lake and the trees that I remembered surrounding us...were gone. I could change the road signs to mess with travelers. That sounds like fun. >.>

Hmm...I could make a trap. Using this earth technique to split the ground creating a deep chasm then, use this technique to make raised earth 'vanish' and 'cover' up the chasm with complete ground/grass. Once they fall in, I'll finish them off by having the raised ground fall on top of them.
Rex says this while taking out and unraveling a scroll, and drawing out his plan.

Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 15-30
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user will first perform the required hand seals Rabbit → Boar → Rat → Horse → Tiger → Snake and slamming the hands on the ground, the user can, by flowing concentrated chakra into the Dragon Veins flowing underground, tear the earth apart, creating large chasms by raising the earth in two oposite sides in the desired location and then splitting that piece of earth through the center. The length, width, direction, and curve of the chasm are all up to the user. Manipulating the Dragon Veins requires fine chakra control, but if one has such skill, they can use this technique to divide the space between the enemy and their own team in two, destroy enemy camps or defences, and even to attack.
Note: This does not split the earth appart directly to cause opponents to fall in the fissure.

(Doton: Iwa Yado Kuzushi) - Earth Release: Stone Lodging Destruction
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A (up to 60)
Descripton: The user will do one hand seal and cause nearby earth structures (either natural occurring ones on the field (such as cave ceilings, cliffs, etc), man made (buildings, etc) or jutsu made (up to C-Rank active structures)) to collapse and fall. This technique allows the ninja to control nearby stone and rock and dislodge any vulnerable or sensitive spots, causing the structure to collapse. This can be especially useful if in a cave or a stone lodging. The technique can loosen the rocks and cause them to come raining down on whomever is trapped inside. The damage depends on the size of the cavern or rock lodging above or nearby the target and not on the amount of chakra used which doesn't need to be high. A large cave with a thick ceiling can easily do the physical damage equivalent to an A-Rank technique but due to the damage not being focused or chakra fueled, its also easily defendable.

Descripton: The user will do one hand seal and cause nearby earth structures (either natural occurring ones on the field (such as cave ceilings, cliffs, etc), man made (buildings, etc) or jutsu made (up to C-Rank active structures)) to collapse and fall. This technique allows the ninja to control nearby stone and rock and dislodge any vulnerable or sensitive spots, causing the structure to collapse. This can be especially useful if in a cave or a stone lodging. The technique can loosen the rocks and cause them to come raining down on whomever is trapped inside. The damage depends on the size of the cavern or rock lodging above or nearby the target and not on the amount of chakra used which doesn't need to be high. A large cave with a thick ceiling can easily do the physical damage equivalent to an A-Rank technique but due to the damage not being focused or chakra fueled, its also easily defendable.

Souji would now weave a set of five handseals in Rex's plain sight. Suddenly, Rex would see Souji blur and disappear from his field of vision, and would become a storm of pink cherry blossom petals. These petals would surround Rex with him in the center.
While Rex was under the illusion, Souji would move his real position, ending up behind Rex... unknown to him, of course.

After finishing his drawing, Rex rolls up the scroll and puts it away as well as his pencil, back into his ninja pouch. He was ready to move on to the next technique. He then listens to Sensei about the next technique, learning that this one was one was one of his favorites. I see... said Rex, as he notices the hand-seals being performed. He could see what he meant when he said that this technique could easily be confused with a ninjutsu technique if one couldn't recognize it. Upon seeing his Sensei turn into flower petals, he thought to himself that this must be the start of the illusion. As the storm of petals surround him, he loses sight of where his Sensei is. Sweat dripped down the left side of his face as he looked around and tried to locate his Sensei but, to no avail. Uh, Sensei? You there?.... He said as he wasn't sure of what to do next or what to expect.
Rex knew that he had to pay attention to his surroundings, and anything that was off or seemed strange to him and so, he starts by weaving the necessary hand-seals to summon his armor, having it appear on him as he emerges from the cloud of smoke. He already knew it was a genjutsu but, he wanted to make sure. Rex follows up by activating his chakra sensing to 'see' if there was any change in his chakra flow and whether the foreign chakra was still present which it was. The armor confirms this visually. The only thing left was to locate and get him. Hearing his Sensei's voice, he smirks. He knew his Sensei would respond(In character, out of character, you still fell for it. xD)and his plan was to get him to expose himself, he was just pretending to act like he didn't know what to do and pretended to be confused. Once he knew where his Sensei was by following the sound of his voice, he quickly turns around and grabs hold of him with both hands, even though he couldn't clearly see him. All he saw was the swirling petals that seemingly didn't inflict any damage onto his hands/arms. Rex proceeds to use the armor's ability to release him from genjutsu by having it 'jolt' him back to his senses while still gripping his Sensei which he assumes is the collar jacket. Ha! I got you!

Description: All Mandalorians have a basic armor, the armor they are given when they are first inducted into the clan. A members armor is special: It's designed for them by the leader of the clan. The Mandalorian armor is beyond the technology the rest of the world possesses. Even though all armors look different the abilities they posses are the same. As the member grows stronger he gains access to more of the technological advances, having his armor "upgraded". The armor has 2 sets of abilities: passive and active (that take up a move slot and do damage). The armor, being specifically made for the individual is perfectly in sync with his/her chakra system, it flows throughout them and their armor. This was the technological breakthrough the enabled the armor to function as a second skin for the ninja. Not only does it allow complete control over the armor through chakra pulses and chakra control but it also allows the user to release techniques that would otherwise be released from his skin or his mouth, etc from the armor, something that negates any limitation to the users ninjutsu usage, specially elemental.
Passive Abilities:
General
-Basic Protection: The Mandalorian armor is made of strong materials and infused with chakra, granting it resistance against weaker attacks. Free form Ninja tools and explosive tags, bladed weapons and attacks that do no damage (N/A) as well as simple taijutsu attacks (C rank) have no effect on the armor. The protection allows the user to remain undamaged for the most part when facing said attacks but cannot negate momentum or kinetic forces.
Helmet
-Gas Mask: The Mandalorian's helmet protects them from harmful gases, toxins or airborne pathogens. The helmet contains a breathing apparatus that filters harmful external agents in the air, allowing a degree of protection against said agents by purifying the air. In the case of enemy techniques, this protection works up to C-Rank techniques.
-Communication: The helmet contains a communication device linked to all other Mandalorians which uses chakra to transmit messages through great distances. It can even project images that the users sees.
Body Armor
-Heat/Cold and Electrical Protection: The Mandalorian armor, being infused with chakra and made from strong resistant materials protects the user from taking damage from high and low temperatures and electrical damage up to D-Rank. The armor cannot be short circuited but will face normal damage from anything above that rank, with temperature based attacks behaving normally (melting the armor if hot enough or freezing it if cold enough), same as it would with the users body, and lightning based attacks cutting through it.

-Enhanced Vision: The Mandalorian armor has a special visor that is powered by chakra, that enables the user to gain an advanced vision that can mimic the motion tracking speed of a 1 Tomoe Sharingan. Beyond the motion tracking abilities, the user gains the ability to see the world through a sort of thermal vision, based on the infrared spectrum. This also allows a limited form of night vision (its use drains 5 chakra points per turn and its activation counts as a move).
-Chakra Sensing: The Mandalorian armor's helmet contains special chakra receptors that allow the user to gain spacial awareness of nearby chakra. This acts as a sort of rudimentary chakra sensing. The user cannot differentiate between different individuals chakra or elements and even assessing chakra levels is very difficult (chakra sensing drains 5 residual chakra points from the user per turn and its activation counts as a move). However, this basic chakra sensing is secondary to the main ability given by the chakra receptors in the helmet which is to monitor the users own chakra flow. The armor can alert the user about any alteration to the chakra flow through visual, auditory or tactile stimulus throughout his body. If the user so wishes, the user can release himself from the genjutsu with a sort of kai but without a hand seal, disrupting the chakra flow by having the armor "jolt" his own chakra flow (30 chakra cost, works on illusions up to A-Rank, usable once every 3 turns, counts as a move).

To dodge a technique, the user can release a quick directional burst of chakra that can propel him a short distance (Up to 5 meters) in a single direction, achieving a simple linear dash (30 chakra cost, counts as an A-Rank move).
-Vibration Sword: a retractable, short ninjato blade, strapped to the armors back, the sword uses the wielders chakra to create high levels of vibration and use that to increase physical damage. As such, when uses, physical Kenjutsu techniques gain +10 damage. The sword drains 10 chakra points per turn when active.
-Armor Strengthening: As the whole armor contains various chakra motors and enhances, the user can charge the whole armor with chakra to temporarily boost his physical abilities, namely his speed and his physical strength. Being mechanical in nature, the armor can only focus on either speed or strength. This can be done in 2 levels: Level 1 increases speed in 50% or adds +10 damage to all taijutsu. Level 2 doubles the users speed or adds +20 to the users taijutsu. The limitation is the duration and chakra cost. Level 1 drains 10 chakra points per turn, lasting a maximum time of 3 turns, usable thrice. Level 2 is usable only twice, drains 20 chakra per turn, lasting 2 turns.

(I don't think we need to summon our Mandalore Armor (I'm a Mandalore too), but that was an appropriate way to break genjutsu with sensing. Sensing is the easiest way to get out of a gen, which is why so many people want it LOL)

Releasing each other from their grip, Souji showed the next jutsu on the scroll, which read:
"Read that jutsu thoroughly, and for this round, cast the illusion on ME. I want to see if you're proficient, and I'll relay my experiences and break out of the technique myself. Clear?"
Souji, being held onto by Rex, nodded in approval.

Once his Sensei gives him to scroll to read, Rex says hold on and takes the scroll. He sits down somewhere and take his time understanding the next technique. Once he was done, returns to his Sensei and responds by saying Alright, clear.
After saying this and once his Sensei was at least five meters away, Rex began by taking out a flash bang from his ninja pouch and tosses it above his head (like how Shikamaru does that giant shadow hand in the games). Once it went off and released a blinding light that would obscure his Sensei's vision, Rex knew that the blinding light wouldn't last long and so he quickly transitions to the next step and throws a kunai with a paper bomb attached to it. He would then follow up by making a hand-seal and injects his chakra into Sensei's brain. He made sure to time it right and once the blinding light cleared up, he would see a clone of Rex charging at him, attempting to a throw a punch with his right hand as he raises it and makes a fist. In reality the clone is actually the kunai that he threw earlier. Should he fail to save himself he would stabbed be in the chest and blown up by the tag.

Ok, I'm really sorry for the late reply, but I'm going to do this next post Out Of Character while I get back into it. To break out of that genjutsu, you need to hit the clone or protect yourself from it. When it explodes, you'll know it's some form of anomaly, since clones don't explode when defeated, unless in very certain circumstances or with special techniques

Sorry for the delay. Had to deal with annoying people over the break.
For the first, well it would be clear that the user isn't using shadow clones. Once you attack them they seem to create more copies instead of just dispersing in a cloud of smoke plus their movements are slow. A shadow clone who would have the same speed as the original. They also come out of the ground which is suspicious as the enemy isn't even disturbing their surroundings but, then again they could be using the fish projection technique but if I wasn't sure, I would make sure by channeling a lightning attack into the ground to see if they get shocked. A mistake would be that the image shown might not match the surrounding area (A Hungry shark chasing you in a desert) or the image of for example a deceased loved one might not work, since the target would know that person is already gone.
I would use the mist servant technique with the illusion technique: servant. Since kunai are incorporated with the mist servant. If the enemy knows this technique they would think the clones are all fake but, with servant they would really have to watch out for the clones as they are now capable of harming the target, since a few of the clones would be disguised as explosive kunai. For Hell viewing, I'm not really sure. I mean what happens if I face someone who fears nothing or they already the know the technique? It may not work but, I guess I'd use it to distract them long enough to catch them off guard with an attack.

Once you attack them they seem to create more copies instead of just dispersing in a cloud of smoke plus their movements are slow. A shadow clone who would have the same speed as the original. They also come out of the ground which is suspicious as the enemy isn't even disturbing their surroundings but, then again they could be using the fish projection technique but if I wasn't sure, I would make sure by channeling a lightning attack into the ground to see if they get shocked.
