Oh so this piece of crap browser did decide to work. I hit submit and you know, it wanted to take forever so I had to refresh, but I guess it posted the first time I did it. You know for being hyped as one of the best networks in the country, my Uni's network is pretty shitty most of the time...and in the Networking Lab at that, go figure. How obvious is it that I'm very on edge right now?

"It's a wonder you haven't died already...it's quite mysterious in fact that I haven't tried to kill you yet"
"First and foremost the majority of most genjutsu possess some visual quality to help aid in the deception or indication that it is an illusion. Nevertheless, this makes it easier for people like us to be able to see through the false reality and pierce through them. Our abilities to analyze and even copy techniques make this to our advantage even more. However, you already know all of this I presume. Needless to say the fundamental property of all paralysis or physical restrictive techniques is the control over the sense of touch. You control this sense in a specific way as to imitate bondage that would lead to your opponent's brain being convinced that you are physically incapable of moving.
While you as an individual may know very well that you're in a genjutsu, that part that understand what a genjutsu is, is not what's being effected most of the time. If we're talking about the most rudimentary paralysis technique, what's being fooled is the part of the brain that controls your voluntary motor movements and possibly some of your involuntary ones as well. It would be considerably more dangerous with the latter to that degree for things like controling your breathing. However, even in severe cases where one feels as though they are suffocating their body will not simulate such extreme adverse reactions that would literally cause you to cease breathing. If you are a descendant of the Kurama clan and tap into your Id, that's another story completely. We're Uchiha and have stronger illusionary prowess but not to the same extent. However the voluntary motor movements and invonluntary ones like respiration fall under the control to simulate bondage, paralysis, restricted movement or whatever.
Most often they coincide with whatever visual effects are being displayed to the victim's eyes as well. Roots sprouting from the ground that wrap around your arms and legs; you feel specific tightening pressure around the areas of the arms and legs that were targeted in the genjutsu. Snakes that constrict around your body as if squeezing the life out of you and making it hard for you to breath; you will feel a tight pressure around your entire and your breath may even become shallow as a result.
Knowing all of this, tell me why - if I cast an illusion designed to bind your arms and legs with roots from the ground, and you tried to physically avoid them in the real (regardless of whether you knew they were figments of an illusion or not) it wouldn't work."
