The explosive tag is very useful in that it has the killing potential of other jutsus yet it can be used more freely. Once it explodes it may block vision sometimes. They are good distractions setting up for more powerful jutsus, as they usually cost low level chakra for moves including them and even if they are dodged the explosion may harm the enemy if they are nearby the tag. Their size is ideal for concealment by either smoke, other jutsus, or genjutsu allowing for creative combinations to harm the enemy.

Exactly. Although their power is only D-Rank, they are still a force to be reckoned with. One more idea that I'd like to emphasize upon, which is attaching explosive tags to clones and sending them forward (just like exploding Kage Bunshin) and there is also a special Ninjutsu technique that makes them invisible. You can have them explode close on impact to your enemy.
Remember that you need to make the snake handseal for this to explode.
Now, I want you to take over the mind of my clone and make him think that a clone of you is walking towards him.

Right, I begin focusing upon the clone manipulating his mind by inserting my chakra into him. I do this befroe the actualy bomb is thrown so that he does not catch wind of what is happening. I cause him to see a clone which is in illusion running toward him however the clone is just a concealment for the explosive tag which is heading toward him. Just as it enters a close vicinity of the clone I perform the snake handseal causing the clone to explode (which was really the explosive tag) causing the enemy to be injured.
Perfect. So, when a clone advances, it directs their attention on the clone, allowing you to pull off more moves. And especially because this is a Genjutsu, and you can conceal sound, you can cook up a strong move while they are focused on the clone, such as Rasenshuriken. Sound is another important aspect of battling, and it usually alerts us to one jutsu or the other.
Once again, use your chakra to manipulate my clone's five senses.

IYour comp problems have rubbed off on my computer. xD)I began to envision the genjutsu I wish to potray and I insert my chakra into your clone as he begins to envison himself surrounded by clones of myself. These clones appear from the ground as they surrounded yours. Once your clone chooses to attack I also cause the clone to envision the clones simply multiplying instead of dispersing like most clones do.

I focus on the handseals that you show me and then I perform the handseals then I perform the actual jutsu by channeling my chakra and then sending it into your clone. The image I portray is one where leaves surround the clone and once they fall away his worst fear is seen. In this particular case the song "Let it go" from the movie frozen is the official theme song of the world. It is played continually without stop. xD

I totally agree. The it might work if they were RP'ing before and since you know what really happened then they would have to tell the truth. LOL (like you know someone was meeting with the akatsuki. They talked in a tavern and you want to know details. Since we have a thread od details but cant use it without metagame you can use this so your character officially knows what is going on; however, I agree this would be extremely difficult to use in the NW. xD

That's some good advice. This could be used well as a distraction or within a combo.
Testing out what my sensei advised I jump in that air faking a short sequence of handseals while infecting the clone with my chakra. I time it precisely so that the clone can see a giant fireball coming down upon them after my sequence of handseals. The fireball crashes down on the clone although this is only an illusion. The mental stress causes damage to the clone.

As you put me in a genjutsu I start to hear colors and see sounds. Did...did I just get high?????? No...its only legal in Coloradogakure...what to do. Scorps then gives me sound permish, Naruto bio permish, yin-yang permish, etc. A this point I realize this a genjutsu. >_>. (If you want a more reasonable gen then lets say you momentarily just put me in a genjutsu where a grassy area transformed into a desert. xD) As instructed I begin to do as instructed as I guage the level of the genjutsu. I stop my chakra flow and then create a large spike to disturb my chakra and dispel the genjutsu.
Oh yeah I made a list of jutsu I did with Mcrazor. (After him Adachi went in order and you continued I practically wiped out most b ranks except one I think. xD)

The user is able to create false surroundings to fool his targets, much like the simpler version of the technique. However, the illusion is in fact layered. If the opponent manages to release the first one, he will then feel the effects of the second illusion. If, for example, the first illusion is that of a desert and the second that of a forest, upon releasing the first one, the opponent will see the desert fade away while the forest appears around him, making him think he dispelled the illusion while in essence he is still caught in one. Each illusion is equivalent to C-Rank and both are casted at the same time. Do 3 hand signs and trap my opponent not just in a genjutsu but a double layered genjutsu. Trap my clone in a genjutsu like false surrounding but this time twice. So when my clone breaks the first genjutsu the second kicks in.

Each illusion is equivalent to C-Rank and both are casted at the same time. While normal releases will release only one illusion at a time, a strong enough pain or an external source of chakra can dispel both at the same time.
Do 3 hand signs and trap my opponent not just in a genjutsu but a double layered genjutsu. Trap my clone in a genjutsu like false surrounding but this time twice. So when my clone breaks the first genjutsu the second kicks in.
I induce your clone in a genjutsu by inserting my chakra into the clone. The clone would begin to envision the area as a vast desert with no end; however, this jutsu is layered. If the clone was able to deduce the first environment was an illusion he would break out of it to find himself in a deep fog hindering his eyesight. This would also be an illusion layered in with the first.

I watch the handseal that Korra sensei shows me and then I perform the same handseal as I begin to insert my chakra into the clone. (If you have a bird summon this would be hard to counter without sensing etc.). I cause the clone to believe that feathers have fallen from the sky and then the enemy begans to feel the effects of the genjutsu. They slowly get sleepy and after some time has past (1 turn) they would fall asleep.
