(Meisaigakure no Jutsu) - Hiding with Camouflage Technique
Performing this in battle
Fairly simple technique, the technique requires no handseals, therefore it's performance is quick. In the heat of battle it can prove useful as a distraction. With one clone diverting attention from the original, the latter can mask their presence in attempt to sneak from their present location, and into their blind spot.
How to use offensively and how to defend
Again, this technique possess no pure offensive, or defensive purposes. In terms of defending from it, though I suspect there are many ways to counter if it is used against you. For one, omni-directional attacks are advised, considering the fact you won't be able to physically see your opponent, it would be best to cover all possible areas they can attack. Then we have the Tiger Will technique. By using this, your chakra is imbedded within the rain drops, and your senses will spike once they detect foriegn energy. If in some case, that doesn't work, even though their chakra might be absent, the rain should infact hit there body. With that done, deactivate the rain and pay attention to your surroundings. The person in question should leave wet foot prints, with water falling off them. The last way would be, paying attention to foot prints, the rustling of leaves, etc.
My opinion
Really good for stealth, not hard to perform, but there are ways to counter, seven out of ten.
(Mikadzuki no Mai) - Dance of the Crescent Moon
Performing this in battle
By simply running towards them, the user creates three shadow clones in order to cause confusion, while the real on attacks from a blind spot. In battle, I think a long-range move, followed up by this would be ideal.
Using it offensively and how to defend
Expanding on what I said above, the long ranged attack would be soley for another distraction. You then can make your way around, using this technique to create another distraction just incase they somehow happen to deal with the one from earlier. Now defending against it, going after all four would be in your best interest if you can't tell which is which. Then again, you can mimic the technique and confuse them aswell, therefore they won't know which one to hit, and can end up hitting the wrong one, giving you another chance at countering.
My opinion
It creates clones with the technique, so you don't waste a move doing so, simple and not hard to perform, but not the most interesting either, five out of ten.
