Kirin is pretty much a special technique to use. And should be used in very particular situations, for example when you are sure that the technique will work and that you will end the fight with it. Basically how you perform Kirin is easy, you use a fire-release technique on the current turn, and in the next turn you can bring the lightning back. This should work every time.

One important thing that I learned is something that a powerful lady (Lili) once said: that if you play your cards right, you should be able to spit the fire in the beginning of the turn and drop Kirin by the end of it, of course you have to make your turn last long. Since the fire travels quite fast, but at the same time it has to achieve the distance it separates from your mouth to the atmosphere. After it goes through it, the clouds form and are charged with lightning. And then you will be ready to perform it.

Advantage of the technique is that this technique is not only incredible powerful, it is one of the most impressive feats of power yet, but near impossible to avoid, due to the fact that this technique utilizes natural lightning it travels at the same speed as a real lightning bolt.

Disadvantages of the technique is that this technique requires a period of time, where you have to wait for the weather conditions to change before you can/are allowed to use the technique. Additionally, the irony of this technique is that what if you wait too long to use this particular technique, who's stopping your opponent from using Kirin against you, using the conditions that you set up for yourself.

Now the tricky part. How do we actually counter Kirin? Well you can use time/space technique or armor of Susanoo's level. But what if you don't have a bio that can perform these techniques.

Well that is my question for you sensei, how do you counter Kirin if you are a noob like me?

You have a few options an you forgot to mention that a chidori is required for Kirin. After the atmosphere is heated up and prepared with thunderclouds, you perform a chidori to send the lightning essence into the clouds in order to be able to control the lightning.

Now, this means that to counter kirin you can either anticipate an opponent that tries to create the thunderstorm and blow it away with a strong technique, or you can prevent him from connecting his chidori with the thunderstorm before it strikes you. Once it does, you're pretty much fried.
