Okay, so I did something. They are used for a variety of things. Eating, mostly. Thrown into some hot choco, making peeps, used in some choco candies. Typically consists of sugar, corn syrup, water, gelatin that has been softened in hot water, dextrose, vanilla flavorings, and sometimes coloring, whipped to a spongy consistency

Right, right, they are indeed tasty and can be added to almost anything to improve taste, but explain to me how they're using in this element.

Used with Marshmallows + fire & wind chakras
Because of the given ingredients it would be impossible to create marshmallows on the battlefield in any feasible process. So in order to use marshmallow techniques during battle the person needs to carry a supply with them, preferably in a pouch. It can also be used by ingesting marshmallows prior to or during the battle, though that would need to be mentioned at the start of the fight.
Once the user has the marshmallows they use a combination of fire and wind chakra to mold and manipulate the marshmallow to their desire. The fire element is used to heat the marshmallow and make it mold-able, while the wind element would then be used to manipulate its shape similar to how a glass worker creates glass (fire to melt the glass and then wind to mold it). This requires the mastery of those two elements.
Fluff + Solid states/forms
Is weak to:
Solid State
Wind: Because of its sharpness wind can slice through marshmallow.
Water: Because of its light weight and low density it can be pushed away by water.
Fluff State
Earth: Since the fluff state could be most easily identified as a liquid, it would be weak against earth for the same reasons as water.
Ice: Can freeze the fluff.
Is strong against:
Solid State
Earth and Earth Variants: Because of its softness and ability to absorb impacts the solid state of Marshmallows could act as a cushion against earth. Piercing earth techniques could cut through marhsmallow, but a thick enough barrier would cause it to be pushed away before being completely run through.
Taijutsu and Taijutsu Variants: Similar to earth, marshmallow's softness and springiness its a great counter against taijutsu.
Fire and Fire Variants: Heat will only burn and melt the marshmallow making it even deadlier.
Water: Can float on water and absorb its impact.
Fluff State
Fire and Fire Variants: Heat will only cause the fluff to become hotter. Because of its properties it can't be vaporized.
Lightning and Lightning Variants: Like water I don't see any reasonable way for lightning to defend against fluff. Unlike water, fluff isn't conducive.
Water: Is denser than water so it will win out in a clash.

Good. That's a peep. Its a marshmallow commonly sold around Easter. For some reason its used to celebrate Jesus rising from the dead.

The B-ranked version of the technique will cause it to grow to a size that can comfortably hold one person. The A-ranked version will cause the peep to grow to a large enough size to hold several people and a medium sized summon.
~Can only be used twice per match regardless of rank chosen.
~Consumes one marshmallow.
