Luffy will win. Law got stomped by Doflamingo and for sure Doflamingo isn't stomping Luffy, more like he is the one who will get defeated by him by the end of the arc. We've seen that Smoker/Doflamingo was capable to pressure him in close combat which is Law's weakness. Law would have trouble to handle Luffy's speed in close quarters area and even his long range attacks are dodgeable especially with COO. So ultimately Luffy has the edge. I think Law kind of even admitted inferiority to Luffy latest chapter

Luffy isn't unphased by bullets because of durability. It's his Devil Fruit. Like how Law is basically the surgeon and the one in power when he is in his "room". Luffys arms probably can't stretch 50 metres in an instant. 50 metres over time yes, but do you think Law will let himself get hit? He can easily warp out of the way or dodge an arm moving slowly across that distance. Luffy also has to pull his arm back before punching over a long distance. Law would obviously know what he is trying to do.

He didn't let doflamingo hit him in several occasions, he did it by force.

It's sad that you think luffy can't hit law in time from 50 meters away.

How fast is gear two Gatling gun?

Seriously though, luffy already knows how to handle a swordsmen because he has one himself.

All Law can do is plan and strategies how to beat luffy (Law's feats are through prep)

Don't think that just cause of his DF ability he's invincible, Vergo proved you can hurt Law when he's in his room. (If you're fast enough and we enough second gear is really fast). Personally, it can go either way but I would say Luffy is at disadvantage is he doesn't know the full extent of his ability but Luffy can win high-diff.

The distance wld play a part@and 50m is kinda advantageous to Law, but I still think Luffy takes this coz of G2 speed and CoO but Law gives him a hell of a fight, though if Luffy is caught by attacks like shambles and other ranged slashes it wld go to Law and Law warping about wld add the difficulty but the longer the battle the more Luffy's chances increase.

Luffy is clearly faster than Smoker within short distances, and we've all seen how Luffy can disappear from one place and appear much closer to his target in a blink of an eye. And since Smoker was able to actually put a hand on Law's neck, then Luffy shouldn't have any problem doing the same.
That is agility. Which is entirely different to speed. Agility being how fast you can change direction, this is how Luffy fights using G2. Smoker putting his hand on Laws neck changed nothing since Law just warped away(of course he can't warp so often , but it will certainly keep Luffy on his toes).

Law clearly cuts people with his DF and not the sword itself, so considering this, the majority would be weak against Law's slashes and cuts. And Luffy had Rayleigh train him, so it wouldn't surprise me if he actually learnt how to handle a swordsman, even though we have seen no feats of this.
He cuts people with his DF? That's exactly why he swings his sword to use Shambles , right? And also why he split a mountain WHILE SWINGING HIS SWORD in order to cut Vergo, whenever Law cuts someone "with his DF (sword + DF combined, technically) they remain alive. This happened with everyone he has cut so far.

Luffy will win. Law got stomped by Doflamingo and for sure Doflamingo isn't stomping Luffy, more like he is the one who will get defeated by him by the end of the arc. Luffy is with Zoro. I believe it will be Zoro + Luffy vs Doflamingo. 2v1 is entirely different to a 1v1 and anyone when enraged seems to be stronger in OP e.g. Luffy and Whitebeard as a couple of examples. Smoker is faster than Luffy... If he can keep up with Smokers movements (although not moving as fast himself) he can certainly keep up with Luffy (although not moving as fast himself). Luffy has the edge. In fact Luffy would win comfortably if the distance at the start was short. But the long range grants Law an advantage (with his Shambles n stuff).

He didn't let doflamingo hit him in several occasions, he did it by force.

Well it's sad that you can't understand that Luffy is great at close combat, but that doesn't mean his long range attacks take time. Every one of his long range attacks require him to pull his arm back a long way (and therefore for a long time in terms of fighting time), Law can warp if he sees this coming, Law would be able to see what Luffy is trying to do if it's a long distance punch or kick. G3 is too slow, Luffy could only use it on Law towards the closing stages of the battle. You completely ignore Laws own speed feats for keeping up with Smoker (whom outpaced G2 Luffy when they found Caesar in a control room. Proving that Law can keep up with G2 luffy, although of course he can't move so fast ; he can still react.)

Luffy has never shown a G2 attack from beyond 20 metres. I think his longest ever G2 attack (in terms of range) was against Lucci, it didn't even cross the entire room.

Base Luffy = Normal Luffy , no drawbacks to his fighting style other than several second long prep for longer distance attacks (Law would see the long range attacks coming)
G2 = Faster and more power , the drawbacks are that it overstresses his heart and gradually shortens his life span aswell as limiting the range of his attacks. They're always shorter than base attacks. (If Law manages keeps his distance, i.e 50m or so then Luffy can do nothing, Luffy can only really use G2 to dodge Laws attacks and close the gap)
G3 = His power per strike increases exponentially. However he is slower than in base. (Law would easily dodge this unless he is heavily injured)

You may use that as a reference ^^

Don't think that just cause of his DF ability he's invincible, Vergo proved you can hurt Law when he's in his room. (If you're fast enough and we enough second gear is really fast). I never said Law was invincible? I said that his DF would give him the advantage over long range. Of course you can hurt Law in his room. Where did I say he is invincible? Where did I say he can't be hurt?

If the starting distance is 50m then Law immediately has an advantage due to the manor of how he uses the Ope Ope no Mi, he excels in long range combat (of course this long range is only as large as his room). However ; if the starting distance is about 20m or less then Luffy has the advantage. You matched them up and played it into Laws favor , so Law wins Exta-High Diff. If the starting distance was any shorter then Luffy would win. This is because G2 Luffy is much faster than Law and G3 has far superior physical power.

I dont think 50m is an issue for a g2 luffy, I can cross that in a few seconds you think Luffy is gonna take that long? No way. And Luffy hass peed, yes his agility allows him to respond with fast moves but when he crosses a distance thats speed and his speed is extreme on short distances and in a 1v1 50m isnt really all that mich

I think Luffy is stronger by a small margin, Laws DF might seem overpowered but the fact that even that does not make him anywhere near top tear shows that there are ways to counter it, one of those ways iw ould bet is Haki whicl Luffy has and I do believe Luffy with his Haki, speed and strength can take on Law

I guess you've forgotten the existence of Shambles... and the fact Law is more than capable of cutting about through a mountain. 50m is nothing for Laws ranged attacks. And he is far stronger than Luffy in ranged combat. He's able to keep up with Smokers movements (not him moving himself, but he can react) and since Smoker seems to be faster than Luffy we can say the same here.

Luffy is stronger by a small Margin. But because there's such a big starting point gap, Law starts with an advantage. Luffys Kenbushoku and Haoshoku Haki are better than Laws (obviously. As Law doesn't have Haoshoku Haki to begin with and Law was shown to be worried about Smokers smokescreen) but Laws Busoshoku Haki is comparable to Luffys.

No I didnt forget but the starting distance would only matter for about 1 second at the start of the match after that it becomes irrelevant because thats how long luffy needs to close the gap, just arguing on the sole 50m is pointless. 1 or 2 seconds isnt enough to take down luffy and after that id does not matter

The same would go for the other option, them having a small distance between them, Law could move away from luffy because luffy wont be able to take law down that fast, but this situation would be better for luffy than the first one was for law because it is easier to catch up to someone slower than you and harder to run from someone who is faster than you

Law is slower than Luffy. But he isn't slow. He's a perfectly capable fighter in all aspects of combat except Kenbushoku Haki. You do realize that 1 second is plenty for even pre TS characters to make a move/attack so 1 second is irrelevant. Luffy wins if the distance is closer at the start.

1 second matters if your opponent lets their guard down or in the middle of a heated fight but in the very first second when both make their first move no that 1 second does not matter that much to determine such a fight

The starting distance gives Law an advantage. He excels where Luffy fails, simply put in long range Law trumps Luffy, in close combat Luffy trumps Law. 50m is Mid-Long range. This 1 second you keep talking about is you only considering Luffys movements and ignoring the fact Law can move aswell...

yes but if Law moves he wont be able to properly attack Luffy properly = he just keeps avoiding him until Luffy eventually catches up

with speeds like Luffy has in g2 50 meters just isnt that relevant

@ Bold. When fighting an opponent of similar ability it does. Law will be capable of following Luffys movemnts if he could follow Smokers. And the distance does make a difference since Shambles and Laws powers work best for long distances.
