Introduction
I've noticed that as usual many members have failed to understand what exactly happened in these chapters, how Naruto and Sasuke actually match up. What I'm posting will be facts. That's why the thread is closed, there is no reason to have any kind of discussion. The thread is merely to educate, and for my own or a another fan's reference whenever necessary in the future.
Understanding Naruto vs. Sasuke

There seems to be this idea going around that Naruto is the only one holding back. He isn't, Sasuke is going for the kill obviously, but at the same time he's enjoying this battle. He's not trying to end it too quickly, the same goes for Naruto. They are both getting a kick out of this fight. I also want to make sure that everyone understands that Naruto and Sasuke are only holding back in terms of OFFENSE. Unless they are both trying to get themselves killed, it should be obvious that they're not taking any chances with their defense game. So I don't want to see anymore members saying Naruto was thrown back because he's "holding back". In any case clearly meant to portray them as equal this chapter. They each were able to counter each other.
In terms of Power
I'm going to be blunt. On paper Sasuke defeats Naruto. Unless there are some big changes in the next few chapters, it will always be this way regardless of the outcome of the fight. I say this because Naruto most likely will be the winner. But on paper Sasuke is superior.
Kishi will continue to portray them as equal until the end, but in actuality they are not. Naruto has the big flashy power for sure. But subtlety is the answer to this battle. Sasuke has multiple ways to easily defeat Naruto, and I'm not even going to include any of the six paths powers except CT. If I did this thread would be far longer.

Scenario 1:
Naruto goes full on BM chakra to combat Sasuke's PS or the more likely option he using that Bijuu Avatar. Sasuke turns him into a core for Chibaku tensei and Naruto suffers the same fate as the beasts. The most likely scenario is considering his huge mass is that he wouldn't be able to move with all the gravity weighing down on him and he suffocates to death after being covered by Rocks. But even if he can move and tries breaking out he IS the core and cannot escape himself. Eventually he will be covered completely or Sasuke will just use the opportunity to blitz him.
Scenario 2:
Sasuke does this
Then proceeds to do this.
And proceeds to take Naruto out while the bijuu are trapped.
Scenario 3:
This one is just for fun to show you that even Kishi somewhat realizes the gap between the two. Remember when he randomly just got rid if Sasuke's sword? There was a reason for it Lol.
He realized that Sasuke could simply do one of two things. He could,
A. Let Naruto catch him and simply swap with his sword. Now Naruto has a sword through his body and if he isn't in danger of death already, he is certainly an easier slower target.
B. Using his sharingan precog to time it perfectly and swap with his sword as Naruto comes at him. Which has the same results as "A". ------> Dead Naruto

Misconception: Naruto can react to Sasuke's S/T.
To make it simple, he can't. It isn't possible to react to instant. What he can react to, is the second part of an S/T attack. Which is, the attack. To make it simple Sasuke himself is instant. His attacks aren't. That's what happened this chapter. If Naruto had been able to react to Sasuke's S/T he would have already been gone once Sasuke had done it. Instead he reacted to Sasuke's chidori. Of course he knew Sasuke was behind him due to his sensory abilities. That however doesn't give him the ability to react to instant. He can only defend himself against to Instant + not instant Attack. Which is why had Sasuke still had his sword, scenario 3 would be viable.
It's difficult to explain. Hopefully you understand what I'm getting at though.
