just because he dressed like a dornishmen doesn't mean he is from dorne,
they are in dorne.. that guy just probably dressed for the weather.. nothing more,

and its not Dayne and Whent its Dayne and Hightower

Look at his skin again and that's not Hightower Hightower was an old man and lord commander not a ginger who barely said anything and let's Dayne act like he is in charge

Actually I did notice, though I reckoned he just wore the get-up because of the climate or that he's their guide. However in the latter case there wouldn't be any reason for him to fight. Either way I don't think you should be thinking about it too much as the dude's dead. The only person we saw in that memory that might still have some relevance, is Howland Reed.

It's Hightower, the list of characters and their actors has been made public and that guy is listed as Gerold Hightower. He also says the lines that Hightower says in the books and they likewise pretty much acted the way they did in the books. Hightower might have been the commander, but Dayne was considered to be the strongest of the Kingsguard and he was Rhaegar's best friend.

The only difference from the books is that they went from 3 vs 7 to 2 vs 6.

Well despite the "Hightower" is supposed to be the official version, the actor who played it tweeted that the character was an amalgamation of both When and Hightower.

And he's dead, isn't he .-. that memory is important because of what has exactly transpired within the Tower of Joy, so that some odd Dornishmen died in the scuffle before it I doubt is important. Unless they decided to recycle a small plotline from the books. An important Northern lady hated the Starks, or in particular Eddard Stark, and was also one of the first to support the Boltons. She was in love with Eddard's elder brother Brandon and he loved her (or at least that's what she believed) and they were planning to marry (or so, again, she believed). Brandon did stole her first time though, however soon after that he was betrothed to Catlyn Tully. That of course went sideways when Brandon was executed by the Mad King and Eddard took his place, married Cat and started the rebellion. In the mean time that lady (I forget her name) married another Northern lord and that lord was one of Eddard's companions at the Tower of Joy. Of course he died, but Eddard only brought back the body of his sister, all the others were buried at the Tower. This all made the lady strongly resent the Starks and Eddard in particular because she felt like they had stolen her husband twice.

Now in the books this wasn't important as far as we know and just was meant as some background information (which happens all the time), though maybe they recycled it into a different plot involving Dornishmen. Personally though I sincerely doubt that.
