[VS] Tournament to Pirate king semi finals! Shanks v. Kaidu

The rules are simple!

Vote on who you beleive will win in each particular match up! It does not matter what the circumstances are! The character who wins the most votes and defeats their opponent gets to move on to the next level! Last man standing is crowned Pirate king!!

REMEMBER:
1-discussion about match ups is encouraged!

2-characters will have 24 hours to tally votes!

3-After the 24 hours are up in the case of a tie, the next vote wins! (For anyone who waits to be the tie breaker I will obstain my vote to break the tie if need be)

4-characters should be judged based on whatever the majority decides. For instance if you beleive weevils hype is enough to beat his opponent and the majority agrees with you then that is the answer. If everyone decides to use pre time skip luffy then that is the decision of the majority! So with that said, no opinion is too far out there!

THE WINNER SHALL BE THE UNDESPUTED PIRATE KING UNTIL OTHERWISE DETHRONED!!

Do you really think Shanks would leave a real fight unmarked? Odds are he gave up something to Kaido or beat him in a drinking contest. Kaido's losses don't even say much considering it's pretty likely the guy is willing to fight the marines alone, and it's not like he was born as strong as he is now.

The quote was 1 on 1, none of those 8 losses are confirmed 1v1's. We don't know how that skirmish played out.

Beaten and captured three times, but he has also shown the ability to split the earth and tank heavy hits. Now who wins between Luffy and some, until said otherwise(for some reason), undefeated and hyped up goon we saw stop a person who's beneath the two by popular opinion? People are just picking Shanks because he's close to the main character.

All you’re doing is listing suggestions and scenarios that never happened or neither confirmed in the manga.
Manga said that Shanks and Kaido were in a fight, given his personally it’s clear as day that it wasn’t some kind of peace agreement.
Given the fact that Shanks clashed with Whitebeard’s full swing with one hand, I wouldn’t doubt Shanks’ strength.
This was also that time when a Whitebeard was the strongest and Kaido is not.

No we are picking him because he had haoshoki Hali that split the sky, stopped while attack with 1 arm and stopped akainu without even using armament gardening and then challenged all of the marines and 7 warlords and B.B. and every single one of them *****ed out.

I didn’t say he didn’t use haki I said he didn’t use armament hardening. Regular armament Hali is just a colorless armour, that increases damage etc, hardening is when the body or object turns black and it’s the next level. By splitting the sky I meant the way the sky looked when whitebeard and shanks clashed .
