[VS] Tournament to pirate king LEVEL 1: weevil v. Rayleigh

Ok so it looks as though shanks came out on top with a tremendous victory vs aokiji . Looks like yonkou titles still hold meaning.


HOWEVER!! Without further adue we have WEEVIL v. RAYLEIGH

Now this matchup should be interesting! Can the man who is said to be the child of the infamous whitebeard go toe to toe against the dark king and first mate to the pirate crew that began the pirate era? Only one way to find out!


REMEMBER!


The rules are simple!

Vote on who you beleive will win in each particular match up! It does not matter what the circumstances are! The character who wins the most votes and defeats their opponent gets to move on to the next level! Last man standing is crowned Pirate king!!

REMEMBER:
1-discussion about match ups is encouraged!

2-characters will have 24 hours to tally votes!

3-After the 24 hours are up in the case of a tie, the next vote wins! (For anyone who waits to be the tie breaker I will obstain my vote to break the tie if need be)

4-characters should be judged based on whatever the majority decides. For instance if you beleive weevils hype is enough to beat his opponent and the majority agrees with you then that is the answer. If everyone decides to use pre time skip luffy then that is the decision of the majority! So with that said, no opinion is too far out there!

THE WINNER SHALL BE THE UNDESPUTED PIRATE KING UNTIL OTHERWISE DETHRONED!!

Blackbeard v. Marco = Blackbeard


These match ups have been chosen at random by an app bracket maker! So it is completely by random and by chance!

This is a tough one. The only feat I know about weevil is that he might be whitebeard a son, he for sure is compared to a younger whitebeard, and he is taking out whitebeards old crews one by one. I want to say that weevil will take this only because I feel as though Rayleighs strength is declining due to his age and weevil seems pretty young. So I say weevil takes this one

Rayleigh is like kendrick. Whatever bars weevil throw at him he outmaneuvers it constructly and restructures it and throws it back like a light speed kick. Rayleigh blitzes unless weevil has shown speed fast enough to repel a light fast kick at point blank range.

Oh damn I wish weevil got a different match up but Rayleigh is taking this win here. Rayleigh right now is still stronger than the current Luffy but Weevil looks like he'll lose to him. All we know is that Weevil has young yonkou level brute strength and he wields a bisento.
I mean that's not gonna help.

If it's true and he is not a fraud I have to go Weevil here. If he has prime Whitebeard strength then I think he takes this. He has been taking out pretty decent fighters while not looking bothered at all.

Rayleigh is on the way back. Would give him a good fight but I think he lacks the stamina for a long fight.

Hmm, Prime Rayleigh's an unknown so even considering is wasted time though I do wonder how strong he was back with Roger?

Until proven to be false I have to believe Kizaru was correct when he said Weevil was like a young whitebeard. The question is how young of a young whitebeard and when did WB become WSM? Is Weevil young WB pre Gura strong? And how strong is that even? Or young WB w/ Gura? I feel like if Kizaru meant WSM young WB then he'd have maid mention of WSM with weevil but he didn't so I'm thinking they mean young WB like in the flashbacks where he's on another ship talking about starting a family. If Roger's crew fought WB back then WB would probably have only lost to Roger himself so I think I'ma go with Weevil. young WB>young Rayleigh so Young WB 2.0>old Rayleigh.

I’m not going to lie. I’m really rooting on weevil to win. He just seems like a really cool character. I bet you anything oda introduced us to him because he wanted to show us the power and potential destruction a young whitebeard would have caused in this day and age.

What fighter has he taken out??? I know he was hunting WB crew but that's all it said for all we know that just includes the fodders etc. Not saying that I believe he only is attacking fodders but it didn't say that he took out jozu or vista or Marco etc
