If it were that Simple then why did it take Haguromo and his brother to seal it? Totsuka is Haguromos weapon, if would of had it back then
Totsuka Blade can not seal Tailed beasts or Jinchurki. Why ?
Tailed beasts are etheral form of chakra and can not be sealed forever as they would eventually come back.
Jinchurki are medium for tailed beasts so they can not be sealed as well.

Jin's dying is what causes them to be free or if they die themselves they will be revived. You need a seal that wont weither away though
