clearly you have no idea whats going on around the world nor should you be telling anyone from any branch of the military that they arent doing their part. all men and woman who sacrafice the 4-5 years of their lives to serve our country all deserve respect. we gave up 4-5 years we could be spending with out familys or else where to be in the military trained for combat to defend the nation. We werent drafted, we VOLUNTEERED! that way the weak guys dont have too...

Whatever. Everyone I know that's signed up has ended up hating it after the first year. They tell me they don't want respect or special treatment because they were in the armed forces. They just want to go home and go to college and get a nice well-paying job. As for me telling someone they're not doing they're part? That's up to who I was talking to to decide if he is pulling his weight or not. For all I know he could be an artillery gunner sitting in an abrams all day. If he thinks he's doing his part then congrats to him. Don't get mad at me for stating my opinion. Everyones entitled to one.

to be honest i'm a commo guy currently deployed right now in afghanistan... i am the ONE AND ONLY commo for 2 diff COP's... (combat out post)... i am a battalion asset to my batallion meaning... my battalion thought i was the guy for the job to go to a diff area by myself and not with my buddies in the battalion commo shop to maintain communications for an entire battalion... if you hadn't known a battalion is made up of lets say... 4 or 5 companies depending on the battalion... each company has at least 100 or more joes doing there part... i am most deff doing my part.. and the reason i am able to get on the computer is cuz of how well i do my job... not only do i keep communications continuously working but i also maintain something called an MWR which is where other soldiers go for morale to talk to there families... i am part of the 1% of americans that are serving the country to make it a calm and peacfull place for bitches like you who think they know anything about what we do... i didn't start this thread to start a fight but i'll damn well finish it... i have the same right to start a random thread as anyone on this forum... oh and in case you think that i bitched out... the only reason it took me so long to reply was cuz i went to go eat some shitty ass chow on this shitty ass deployment...

I don't really care if you're in the army or working in wall street. I've never met anyone who speaks in that manner that wasn't a douche. Go around and say that around your army buddies and see how fast you get your ass kicked.

I think the point of the thread was to show that we shouldn't just flame people's opinions on a whim. I dont have anything against flaming so long as it's not personal and uncalled for.
