Yamato here.

I was thinking about the next topic for the battle academy and I got to thinking, "Why should I be trying to tell people what I think they need to know, when they can tell me first hand what they want to know?"

So here is your chance NB Roleplayers! Tell me what you want to learn about battling. The topics so far have been very generic... How to setup a battle, Movement, and ninja tools. I was thinking about a few topics such as How to utilize your location to your advantage, timeframe (controversial topic), freeform taijutsu, and shadow clone usage, since this is stuff that applies to everyone.

If you have any ideas as to what you want to learn that is not on the list, or want to set priorities on the lessons so your favorites come out faster then post here!

I look forward to hearing everyone's opinion.

i had a feeling that was what people were going to say. in all honesty its the hardest thing to write about because everyeone's and I mean everyone's idea of a logical timeframe is different. I've already had discussions about it in the sensei group to try and iron out the details, and all that talking boiled down to one statement... "I guess it depends" :p

I think freeform taijutsu would be the most useful. Not so much because freeform taijutsu is a big part of the RP, but because it makes your really write out your move and be descriptive, which is something a lot of people lack. Would be useful.

I agree. Freeform taijutsu teaches people how to propperly write out thier move and allows for vast amounts of creativity and strategy play.

I know I asked Cali and he said throw a kunai isn't a person first move.

Running at you is a first move.

So how are these different?
right, which is where the confusion comes in. Me, Liliana, and Akiza spoke about this and worked it down to "the first agressive act". now that is hard to define :p

personally I think throwing a kunai counts as the first move, because you have to defend youself from that kunai. otherwise you would just be standing there, right? this is why its such a hard topic to write about. everyone has thier own way to handle it.

I got to go with Lord Danzo here.
Not that I lack the descriptive part but I've stalked countless fights and spars and sometimes I can hardly understand what the other is trying to do.
Later on it leads the whole combat to a argument.

Ok so as of right now, the next two lessons will be timeframe (-_- yay *sarcasm*) and freeform taijutsu.

Does anyone else have an opinion as to what should be next?
