Well, many people have actually read, or look back into history, during the Middle Ages where inhuman torture methods were advised, mainly by the medievals, during the era of Christianity or many places in Greek in general, now! I've been going over the web and seeing some excruciating methods of torture, officially blowing my mind, so let us see shall we. (Not for the faint hearted>)

KeelHauling is the pirate torture one endures when u haven't had the good fortune to walk the plank (Lel) the victim is tied to a rope and a pulley, and dragged back and forth, the sharp errata under the ships should grinds the victims naked flesh raw (what in the actual ****) if the "bad guy" is lucky enough, drowning should save him
rat torture
Described as both "rat torture" or "rat excitation" (as retarded as that might sound) these tech quite employ the rats to convienently exploit the human phobia towards rodents, the inquisitor out to get a confession places a few rats in a Bucket, blocks the vermins escape with the victims stomach, the heats up the end of the bucket to annoy the rats, whatever method is advised, the hungry and anooyed rats excited by fire have only one place to escape, and that's eating through the victims stomach,
corcodile shears
Just how it sound, are two iron cast sides of a tube, the insides which are featured with a row of spikes and are heated priorly by the torturer, now here is where it gets ugly, the shears are clamped onto the mans penis, and with only a modicum of applied tension, they slowly and painfully seperate him from his smouldering manhood (OMFG) due to blood loss and infection, we can say death is hardly a certain. (I'd rather stab myself then this shit)
the skate
Just how it sounds, the skate is a little more then a half sized iron skewer heated up by coals, used to impale the victim, featuring all public appeal with crucifcation without symbolism, the skate the favourable threaded throughout the victims hog tied torso, minimising blood loss, the skewered individual could remain conscious for days.

The result - diarrhea and honey smeared on the body to attract large teams such as insects, are simply insects were eating victim's body, and then inside victim began to lay their eggs, to reproduce
Taking a look back in history, can give you the creeps, like any other horror movie could.
