you got to be out of your mind nagato destroyed a whole village then whooped naruto and hinata then took on the the six tails, then fought naruto again, then brought everybody back to life in his weak form!
also minato and hashirama sealed the fox they didnt have the power to take it head on like pain did!
The only people that even stand a chance against Pain are the one's that knows his secret...This means yes Naruto is dead vs Pain 1v1...and so is Saskue and Hanzo, any kage...whomever you can think of!

Dude Pain is not stronger than Minato or Naruto. That's why Pain took a L to Naruto. And that "he wasn't trying to kill him excuse" doesn't work because if he was that strong he would've captured him anyway.

1) Madara (there is alot of mystery behind him, yet he has been around forever and has extreme power)
2) 1st Hokage (he's badass regardless of what anyone thinks, element and bloodline=boss)
3) Itachi (probably would have been considered strongest shinobi ever if he would have stayed in the village and didn't work under Danzo, but overall he is BA and was extremely powerful in all aspects)
4) Nagato (if he uses his power in one he could have been an even bigger force IMO but still would have beaten almost anyone)
5) Minato (ftg was very BA, but that's about all)
6) 3rd hokage (knew a lot of techniques but we weren't able to see him really do his thing, but he gets kudos for his rep)
7) Raikage (hes just overall a powerful dude and is a force)
8) naruto (would be higher, but he's been given most of his strength)
9) Sasuke (from what we have last seen from him, he is getting up there with the others)
10) orochimaru (very BA dude and is almost impossible to kill, but is sucks against uchiha's. But other than that probably one of the most powerful shinobi too)

pein was fighting naruto, the 6-tails and hinata and the main pein was weakened at the start and naruto got a cheap shot on the mecha pein and naruto had complete intel on him and naruto still needed help from the kyubi and hinata plus pein could have killed naruto when he had him pinned down with those chakra sticks.

I do agree that pain is a monster but he should not be there before these characters. hashirama can control bijus and beat madara who had ems so he is in a league of his own. Minato could have taken on the biju but his situation was really difficult he had to save naruto, kushina, the village , fight madara and then also fight the kyubi, it is too much for any character to do but he was still successful. How can pain beat minato who is really fast and smart,he remember how he beat madara, he cannot use shinra tensei or chibaku tensei on someone that fast.And minato is really smart and would figure out pain's powers like jiraya did. SAge naruto was a pretty good match for nagato but not better than him, but NAruto with Rm would just own becsuse he is faster than A and he is more powerful than ever before
