Hashirama could have had some more tricks up his sleeve so you can't assume that he only had mokutun jutsu. I highly doubt that hebeat Madara only with mokutun unless it has powers that are mysterious and unknown to us.

You're giving Madara a technique he doesn't have by giving him Yahiko's technique making your argument invaild. It wouldn't work anyway. You think a coward is better than Minato?

you got to be out of your mind nagato destroyed a whole village then whooped naruto and hinata then took on the the six tails, then fought naruto again, then brought everybody back to life in his weak form!
also minato and hashirama sealed the fox they didnt have the power to take it head on like pain did!
The only people that even stand a chance against Pain are the one's that knows his secret...This means yes Naruto is dead vs Pain 1v1...and so is Saskue and Hanzo, any kage...whomever you can think of!
1. Minato (fastest Space Time, best Fuinjutsu, ... I know a lot would say Madara but Madaras fastest attack even after he got Rinnegan is still his Space Time which in speed is inferior to Minatos and any battle with Minato is a battle of speed and thats not all his FTG allows him to blast you with your own attack once you are marked, if he had no trouble teleporting TBB to a mark I doubt he will have a problem with teleporting any other attack to you if you are marked, ...)

I do agree that pain is a monster but he should not be there before these characters. hashirama can control bijus and beat madara who had ems so he is in a league of his own. Minato could have taken on the biju but his situation was really difficult he had to save naruto, kushina, the village , fight madara and then also fight the kyubi, it is too much for any character to do but he was still successful. How can pain beat minato who is really fast and smart,he remember how he beat madara, he cannot use shinra tensei or chibaku tensei on someone that fast.And minato is really smart and would figure out pain's powers like jiraya did. SAge naruto was a pretty good match for nagato but not better than him, but NAruto with Rm would just own becsuse he is faster than A and he is more powerful than ever before

For everyone who says Naruto is only good because he was given the Kyuubi, think about Madara, or Itachi, or Sauke, or Nagato, or Hashirama. They were all born with their powers like the Sharingan. If they had not had that, they would not have gotten so powerful in the first place. But Minato had nothing, and had to come up with his own power, and he whooped Madara with the 9 tails.

1. SO6P- The Godfather of the Ninja World lol
2.Naruto Uzumaki- Surpassed everybody including his dad, it's not just because of the nine tails chakra he's strong too cuz he beat the nine tails himself
3. Minato Namikaze- Whoop Madara ass, and he's fast and smart
4. Bee- Can control his beast
5. Itachi- Need I say more just overall nice
6. Nagato- Was really strong, strong enough to destroy a village on his own
7. Sasuke Uchiha- Don't really like the guy but I gotta give it to him, I still don't think he's stronger than his brother if his brother was ill and was holding back when they fought
8. Kakashi Hatake- Copy cat ninja and has Zabuza's Blade now that's tough
9.Madara- The madara he is now not in the past, have'nt really seen that much from him to already say he's the strongest ninja. Plus he steals people's eyes to get power corny.
10. Gaara- I would go as far to call him the greatest Kazekage in history, but that is just my opinion
