Well, to be honest, AKB48's music are not my type but atleast, they're better than Bieber or Miley Cyrus..U_U
I've listened to them twice or so - I listen to quite some Japanese music tbh - mostly popular bands (and AKB48 is a phenomenon in Japan) and mostly, when I liked a song in an anime, I tend to search on the band/singer and look for their albums.

And as for the money part, I don't give a damn of what they earn.
