The issue with naruto's generation is that they grew up in times of peace(they were the first generation to not grow up in war times I believe) Subsequently, in times of peace the demand for ninjas isn't as great, hence the ninjas graduate from the academy at a later age. That's why even a chump like obito(who was NOT a prodigy) became a chunnin before naruto and sasuke even graduated from the academy. Also, the testing may be more lenient a well. So it's useless to compare ages.

I don't get why people are putting Hashirama on their list. Hashirama was the past reincarnation of Ashura (which was a failure when it came to power) so how is he a prodigy? If he's a prodigy then so is Naruto..

Also, we hardly know anything about Shisui other than he had great genjustu technique (Kotoamatsukami) so how is he considered prodigy?

They only have their chakra, I don't think skill can be inheritted. Naruto didn't have any skill at the beggining of the show because of Kyuubi's chakra, not because of Ashura

Hashirama
Madara(He and Hashirama weren't just skipping rocks...they were killing adults, in what I believe to be a time where the average ninja was as strong as Minato or Oro)
Kakashi/Oro
Sasuke/Minato

The last four are sketchy, but I feel those four are generally the same area. That's my take on it.
