1. 1st Hokage: he took on Madara, the son of the sage of 6 paths, and won! He had under his control a number of tailed beasts and was the strongest ninja of his time. Not only that, he has such a calm demeanor in what we have been able to see, subtlety = badass.

2. Madara: while he may not be so subtle, whenever he appears in the manga he is simply the center of attention. He is feared by many and for good reason. He possesses huge amounts of power and is taking on the five kages, that's just badass.

3. Killer Bee: he is a very powerful ninja and he is a perfect jinchuuriki. He has protected and saved so many people and he is not even a kage, although he acts like one for his village. He kicked Team Taka's ass single handedly until Sasuke used amaterasu, but even then he escaped ultimately unscathed and went off on his business.

4. Kisame: Kisame is just extremely powerful and didn't really show off much of his power until he fought Killer Bee. He is the most powerful water user of his time and shark = badass. He also went out like a ****en boss.

5. Orochimaru: why? Because the ****er can't die, he like a lingering plague that just jumps from host to host. He was the main antagonist and now he is eating kabuto alive and making a comeback. He was the creator of so many jutsu and preformed unspeakable experiments. When he walks into a room people shiver, that is how badass he is.

Hope you like my list and also Oro is only below Kisame because I think Kisame would be able to kill Oro. I love Oro but Shark>Snake, personally.

( excluding zetsu lol ) Who else is a cold hearted killer who turns on his best on his only friend his sensei and wants to kill them in cold blood. And last but not least hes actually so evil that he cheap shoted sakura and was almost about to raikiri her in the back of her head, lets be honest he couldv'e easily killed her but raikiri from the back honest ???
Also karin was nothing to her he just discarded her and forgot about her the moment he killed danzo.

1. Madara - he possesses the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, the Rinnegan and Senju Hashiramas strength. Tobi control the six Jinchuriki with his Rinnegan - Madara could do it with his Rinnegan theoretically, too. Also he has the Sharingan, which can control Bijus. On top he has the wood release, also able to control and suppress Bijus.

2. Tobi - Jikugan Ido, Rinnegan and his new Pain Rikudo with the Bijus. He's about Madaras level.

3. Itachi plays in Nagatos league, but with his basic strength, the genjutsus, he has in my opinion the better cards than Nagato. Sasuke is on the same place - he can't use that strong genjutsus like Itachi, but possesses now the EMS, the according to Itachi true power. + He has a higher stamina.

4. Nagato - uses the Rinnegan, a very strong weapon with Pains abilities, all elements and Gedo Mazo.

5. Minato, because his Hiraishin no Jutsu a very dangerous opponent. He's fast enough to dodge from A's attack, could match A and Killerbee together and defeated Tobi. With his seals he can teleport himself during the fight anywhere, away to his own house and back, for example (because there's a seal). Also he can even teleport away a bijudama with his seal, also the biju itself. Naruto is strong too and can use more Rasengan techniques, but Minato is faster, smarter and more experienced than Naruto and his Hiraishin no Jutsu is more advantageous, because he can teleport himself anywhere, where his seals are.

1. naruto, at the end of the manga, because he is the only one that can can surpass the fourth hokage. and the only one that can beat tobi if he fully control the fox
2. minato, because kishi hype him
3. tobi, only naruto can beat him if naruto fully controls the fox.. remember that minato seals the fox to naruto so that tobi cannot control the fox power. tobi= no fox incomplete
4. sasuke, he surpassed his brother and got a lot of powerups

Reasons:
Itachi is clearly a badass in any aspect.
Tobi is brilliant and seems to be invincible, yet he's only a "shell" of his former self.
Minato can teleport leaving just a yellow flash behind.
Madara can change from Sharingan to EMS to Rineggan.
Nagato had an amazing dialogue in which he seems to point out all the flaws in real life society.

I know this is more then five but I just have to get it out of my system.

Itachi- because of the self sacrifice, resolve, and the controversy that surrounds him. Shame that he died though he could of been the strongest character in the narutoverse.
Third Raikage- he was a tough and scary guy. Had it all speed, strength, endurance, high chakara, hell he could even take on a tailed beast by himself. In short BA!
Nagito- Because of his story and his skills. Heck he could take on an entire village with little effort even when he was on the verge of death. And when he did get some health as an edo his skills got even stronger. Plus I am a big fan of his story and why he did what he did.
Kurama- Is a tailed beast. Havn't seen him in action but i bet it will be awesome.
4th Hokage- Because of his intelligence, his ability to adapt to any situation and to quickly end conflict. Heck he stopped Kurama and tobi at the same time!
shikamaru- Also because of his intelligence, but even more so how he handled Hidan. He showed no mercy when it came to protecting his friends/teacher. And is one of the few characters who I think is underpowered and still able to utilize his skills to surprise and beat much more powerful opponents.

and drum roll please..... Hinata hyuga yes, I know she losses all the time and she dosn't really have a great battle she can point to and say she was great. But for me the most b.a. because of what she did. She went alone against pain and knowing she would lose her life confessed her love for Naruto and attacked pain with everything she had to save him.

Sorry Lt. I don't really log onto NB much very often anymore, so I came kinda late.

1: Madara - He's my favorite Uchiha by far, and one of my fav characters from the series period.
2: Jiraiya - Along with his fun character, Jiraiya had a great Reputation, and power to back it up. His Sage Mode was epic, and his death was the best in the series. In my opinion.
3: Naruto - Just look at how he's grown. xd I like the young Naruto more, but the older Naruto is cool too. His Sage Mode & Kyuubi Cloak make him one of my favs.
4: Nagato - One of the only known Rinnegan users, and god amongst men, Nagato is easily one of my favs. He's got unbelievable justu, and is just powerful all around. Plus, he went out like a G. xd
5 : Elder Son of The Sage - I know we know virtually NOTHING about him, but I like the mystery and enigma surrounding him. Seeing as He's one of The Sage's Sons, you can only imagine how strong he was, not to mention His Doujutsu looks epic. .Even though we don't know what it is.

5 kages, cuz they are the 5 kages no need to explain.
