Top 5 Characters that didn't live up to their hype/potential!

Hyuuga's in my opinion.
Gaara kinda. All he does is control sand and have it protect him. Which is fine cause it's his jutsu.. (not basing him cause he's actually one of my favorite characters) but if he were to have a hand to hand fight with someone, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't win.

Hiruzen has to be number one, maybe EMS sasuke as i expected more.

People that put Neji on their list:erm:, he lived up to his hype, he was the strongest among the K11 (only Lee can be a match for him) and died for Hinata's sake, don't forget only he has achieved the Jounin rank on an age of 16.

Orochimaru was only hyped as a genius...The fact that he's still alive is proof of that.EMS Sasuke wasn't give much to do, so I don't see how he didn't live up to his hype.Everyone else I can agree with.

What manga have you been reading?Neji was consider a genius superior to Sasuke in part one.Now let me asked you this, who was stronger and more skilled at the very beginning of part two, Neji or Sasuke? Neji didn't lived up to his hype, Kishi making him a Jonin is meaningless when his power and skilled level was below that of shinobis who were all consider inferior to him since he was introduced in the manga.

Hiruzen is definetly Nº1, the rest isn't in any particular order:

1 - Hiruzen (speaks for itself).

2 - The sannin (supposed to be legendary but never seem to actually use their full power, not impressive when compared to other less hyped characters).

3 - 7 swordsman of the mist (only showed some kenjutsu, not impressive when they're supposed to be the elite of the elite in Kirigakure).

4 - Hanzo (more hyped than the sannin, only used kenjutsu and some poison attacks, not impressive).

5 - Sasori (his use of Iron Sand is very lackluster compared to Gaara's sand and his father's gold dust, and he lacked firepower for a character who's supposed to be one of the "senpai's" in Akatsuki).

These are the ones i can think of right now.

#1 Hiruzen lived up to his hype when he used all 5 elements at once. Not even those with the rinnegan have demonstrated this.

#2 Orochimaru gained all of my respect back when he found a way to cheat the reaper death seal, that crafty sneaky snake :3

#3 EMS sasuke- Has amaterasu sword, amaterasu arrows, his suasnoo has legs now, armored bijuu mode, Curse mark susanoo, and fusing amaterasu with rasenshuriken. You fans are hard to please xD

#4 7 swordsmen- I agree they're could have been more shown. But I'm glad we at least know who they are

#5 Neji- I don't know how i feel about that, in all honesty i think his character served his purpose already You can only do so much with finger poking xD

Hiruzen busted out 5 elements. That should be enough to prove the hype right there and then... As if that weren't enough, spiral zetsu and his shinshuu senju are still not around. That can only mean one thing, Hiruzen's still solo's Shinshuu's ass. Gokage and Sa are all out of chakra and been getting their ass kicked, taka hauled ass, and the rest of the hokage have been dead. Hiruzen's been the only useful person down that side for the past few chapters. Being able to take on Shinshuu for this long is quite impressive. The guy's showing feats that can already compete with base hashi (those 5 juubi sized attacks). So, yes, he's proving his hype.

Umm... how do i put this... Karin kinda soloed the Shinshuu and Taka soloed the spiral zetsu. Hiruzen only managed to guarded off for one chapter
