You think Iron Sand blocks C3?

No, not at all. Nothing can block C3, unless you're Akasuna no Sasori. Remember, you have to breathe the mini bombs of C3, but Sasori's body is nothing but a puppet. He doesn't breath at all. Sasuke breathed the bombs and that's why they had effect on him, they'll affect the other characters too, but not Sasori. That was my point. Deidara have 2 chances on beating Sasori - the first I already mentioned, the C0, and the other, to aim and destroy with a bomb Sasori's living core, but since Sasori's intelligence is more than Deidara's level as you already said, he won't let Deidara destroy his only living part in his puppet body.

nobody got konan in the top 5? remember her fight vs obito? she almost won, but sasori lost to sakura & chiyo, deidara lost to base sasuke, kakuzu lost to kakashi/team asuma/naruto (this is the only one comparable with obito, but obito is a bigger threat imo)
