Minato, is the fastest man we know of my friend. By combining the fastest jutsu ever with the fastest reflexes ever and a deadly base speed is what makes him a incredible powerfull opponent.
Minato throws some kunais at nagato, Nagato use shinra tensei, minato throws on more Nagato dodge, Minato appear puts a rasengan in his face before he can react, and if he react Minato will just put his hand un him, Poow Minato can easily beat him now, but offcourse it could go either way.
Itachi has amaterasu, if he uses it, Nagato won't react and will be burnt. Nagato is not fast enough. And if he somehow absorb it before he knows it the totsuka sword has allready sealed him. but still it could go either way.

Think what you wish, but it wouldn't save him from Nagato. Rasengan can easily be absorbed, and if he's fast enough to snare both Naruto and Bee then he is surely fast enough to at the very least react to Minato.
As for Amaterasu, absorption would easily take care of it. All Nagato has to do is create a chameleon summon and make it go invisible, giving him eyes to see Itachi even when he is distracted. People fail to realize that Itachi only sealed Nagato due to the efforts of Bee and Naruto. Itachi alone cannot win against Nagato.
Thank you for ignoring my post. Let me give you A referat of what happened in his fight agains Naruto and Bee.
First Nagato uses st Doesn't effect Killer bee who goes for a slow counter attack in his tailed beast mode level two, Nagato absorb his chakra push him away, than naruto jumps at Nagato very slow, but Nagato has a hidden summon that capture Naruto, after that nagato activates one of his abillitys to try suck out Naruto soul but Bee attack again slow but gets captured too by one of Nagatos abillitys, true Nagato would have prob killed them there but if it was Minato he would have teleported a long time ago. Than Itachi saves them, and after that they OWN Nagato. Minato could juts do as he did against A, if Nagato uses st Minato will teleport to a tree, one instant later he is sitting on Nagatos back.

yeah i'm completely agree that Minato will win against Nagato... sage mode, lightening armor, teleportation barrier, god knows how many seals and thunder god technic,.... the fastet man ever lived.. and in my opinion the smartest( even more then shikamaru ) he is even stronger than madara... maybe only tobi can win against him thanks to the tailed beasts and edo tensei statue .
Minato is one of the top shinobies.. and I can't admit to be compared with Nagato( wich is one of my favorite characters) rinnegan is something that you are born with.. the ninjutsu that Minato shows is developed by him... he is not born with it .. he is genius..
Nagato is just a tool used by Tobi.. his powers are given by him... yes Nagato is strong but Minato is incredible... and its foolish to say someone fool because he believe that Minato will dominate.. its white and clear.. even Kishi says it in one interview..

3 - Naruto (BM is OP, and he WON OVER his tailed beast, therefore i count in anyway)
4 - Sasuke (Susanoo + amaterasu spam)
5 - Itachi (Susanoo + smart and I believe him being 1 of the best 1v1 fighters.)
6 - Nagato (sorry, i still belive nagato would not beat itachi in a 1v1)
7 - third raikage (no need to explain)
8 - Minato (he would not beat any above)
9 - Hashirama (beat madara but I dont see how he would overcome any of the above)
10 - Muu (Dust + invisibility + flight)
- second mizukage (=Muu)
12 - Hiruzen (in his prime = pretty much a beast but still no special insane tech)

I am not basing it on their actual strengths since some are better in some things than others. I am not basing this on their abilities to win 10 000 soldiers solo. I am not basing this on their ability to tame beasts (where Hashirama excelled). I AM basing this on their 1v1 capabilities and the scenarios that could happen in a 1v1 situation.
Sasuke and Itachi would win really fast I believe because of their OP 1 shot techniques (Amaterasu + Tsukuyomi) and if those fail, Susanoo can get some work done.
Hashirama would not be able to damage the Raikage because of his speed and insane shield while the Raikage would damage him a lot.
For Minato, I seriously don't know for who the win would be but I believe Minato to be a better 1v1 fighter for his immense speed.
Now comes Naruto, which of these would be the only one that could not beat Hashirama because Shodai would take the kyubi's power out and Naruto would be in his base mode. But since no other character can do that, and he would win in BM, Naruto is better placed.
Hope you understand my reasoning that Hashirama would not win 1v1 but he still was a better kage and had some better abilities, just not THAT suited for a versus.

mito defeated kyuubi. and we dont know how he beat madara or if he beat him at all.
how do you know?
no shisui and naruto did. itachi just activated the trap.
then why is he at number 4? how could hashirama possibly defeat him?
