We all know what cowards the early Senju and Uchiha were. They seem to be only as strong as the title of Uchiha makes people like Sasuke's parents and uncle and aunt.

Yeah and adults back then weren't made of much. Seem to be pretty equivalent to Land of Iron Samurai of today actually with maybe a boost or two. A clan of adults where getting a basic sharingan is considered a pretty big deal isn't impressive.

Nagato at 10 years old mastered all elements. At 14 years old he was even stronger. Only young Obito can beat young Nagato, and that's only because of Kamui. Itachi could also probably beat him if he had Tsukoyomi at that time.
