I heard that Kishimoto wasn't happy to have been forced by the story to focus his part 2 on the sharingan and the Senju.
I heard that he would have liked to expand more over Uzumaki origins and the Byakugan.

A good thing is that Chocho seems to be a central character in Gaiden , making me hope that Kishimoto has planned to expand on the Ino-Shika-Cho background.
