Tokyo Ghoul manga ends this month.

The 14th and final volume is going to ship on October 17th.

''Sui Ishida is ending the Tokyo Ghoul manga in its 143rd chapter in this year's 42nd issue of Weekly Young Jump magazine on September 18. Shueisha will publish the 14th and final volume of the manga on October 17.

The dark fantasy manga is set in Tokyo, which is haunted by mysterious "ghouls" who are devouring humans. People are gripped by the fear of these ghouls whose identities are masked in mystery. An ordinary college student named Kaneki encounters Rize, a girl who is an avid reader like him, at the café he frequents. Little does he realize that his fate will change overnight.

Ishida launched the manga in Weekly Young Jump in 2011. Shuhei Morita (Freedom, Kakurenbo) is directing a television anime adaptation at Pierrot this summer, and Funimation is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan.''

Uhh... I'm assuming we'll get a sequel of the manga, given that there are a lot of unanswered questions? Can't really find any information on a possible sequel though.​

I agree. I just caught up recently and this was supposed to be my main weekly manga along with Bleach since I don't like Naruto's manga anymore. Kinda sucks that its gonna end and then we're going to have to wait a long time for the sequel. ._.​

I don't know much about it's sales, but I'm searching through some forums and I'm hearing that the Tokyo Ghoul's anime sales are flopping hard. Any chance of it getting cancelled because of the failed anime sales (well, if it's true)? I've heard other mangas got cancelled before because of the failed anime adaptions (Needles manga comes to mind).

I'm hoping that's not true. I really enjoyed this manga so far so I'm kind of worried.​

The anime sales are bad because the anime is bad. On the other hand, the manga sales were boosted simply because thanks to the anime more people learned about the series.

The purpose of making an anime out of an ongoing manga is to make it even more popular usually. So it doesn't make sense to end it now.

Kaneki can't be dead. I mean he is the main character. How do you kill him off like that?

Plus it's supposed to be a tragedy right? What kind of tragedy is it if he just dies randomly because he happened to face an overpowered character?

Also sales were good, are there any confirmed news of a sequel by Ishida?
