I think I will bump this topic back up since the latest chapter is pretty enlightening. The spiral mask seems to either be A.) spiral zetsu shell, or B.) a way to remember spiral zetsu by wearing a mask shaped like his face. Its clear in the first pic, the original mask that was Obito with long hair when he met Itachi right? sooo something must happen to spiral zetsu after that time point.
