I was watching Shippuden Episode 142, which is when Tobi and Kisame recruit Sasuke and his team into the Akatsuki to capture the 8 tails. We all know that Tobi can render himself untouchable, like a ghost. But in this one, he blocks Suigetsu's blade with his wrist. I was wondering if his abilities of intangibility have nothing to do with his Space/Time technique. It seems more like he has an ability to alter the density of his body at will. Sometimes his density is so low that he can be passed clean through and other times he is so dense he can deflect swords without a scratch. Any thoughts on this?

That could be true, only minato stated it as a space/time jutsu/
But how wuld we explain his fast travel? Could it be simular to FTG?

It is a good thought man but I just assumed it was because of his arm being made out of whatever Zetsu is. Either that or he caught it in his arm with ST.

The fast travel is still Space/Time. I just think that the intangibility technique isn't related to his Space/Time technique. When he travels using the S/T tech, he disappears completely, but he's still visible when he's intangible. I just think they're to dissimilar to be the same jutsu.

ive also seen him teleport to other dimensions at will so it has 2 be more than intangibility
I know. I'm just suggesting that on top of S/T techniques he also has another power, like the ability to alter density. He very clearly has S/T techs. I just think that the intangibility is likely not just another use of S/T.
