First, i'd like to say that although this is my first post here, i've been following Naruto since part 1. There are a few things i'd like to get out of the way before i go into my theory:
A) I knew (this) tobi was obito from the moment he used a S/T jutsu.
B) I knew orochimaru was coming back
c) I knew it was the real Madara in that unknown casket of Kabuto's
Why state these things, you say? Well, if you go back to chapter 590 pg 11, you'll see a much taller "tobi," which as we know is the tobi that itachi knew. If you look at his hair and his posture, you can see clearly that this resembles Madara. This would also explain why Itachi said that (current) tobi is just a shadow/shell of his former self (i.e. the tobi itachi knew at that time - the one that helped him with the massacre AND the same one who fought the 4th).
Obito was saved by Madara and became his pupil, learning of all the war and pain that existed in his time. Obito was raised to be the continuation of what was "tobi." This is similar to how with Phantom 2040, each phantom is actually a different person than the last one.
My theory is so far that Obito and Madara were working together, and Madara planned to come back...but NOT due to Kabuto. Obito was going to use Nagato's jutsu to bring Madara back (this is why he said that Nagato was supposed to save that jutsu for him - as in for bringing Madara back). It was just a "coincidence" that Kabuto had Madara in the box (thus why obito reacted the way he did once he saw the contents: a brain controlled Madara - his mentor). Madara though was quite talented and got free as we all know, and this is why he said that Kabuto was playing with jutsus he didn't fully comprehend.
The one who Sasuke believes knows everything is Madara of course. He knows first hand the details of the massacre, he knows what's on those scrolls, and he knows everything that itachi wouldn't tell him. To add some spice, he's bringing along Orochimaru since he knows about the edo tensei (Orochimaru will be the one to stop Madara...)
