ha what u fail to see yet again is that tobitama influenced the selection process for the 1st hokage. he was anti uchiha u fool, if the fire country allowed it then why did hashirama say eventually the people will agree with u to madara?? that was AFTER he already became hokage. its obvious the rules wetre selectively applied by tobirama. If u cant even see this then im afraid i cant help you.ha....smh. stating the definition doesn't change my point. you're pretty much calling everyone within the konoha power structure a hypocrite for assuming that konoha decided to use DEMOCRACY EVERY SINGLE TIME A NEW HOKAGE WAS TO BE APPOINTED....and OBVIOUSLY if you make a simple inference...that is NOT the case. LIKE I STATED the only time DEMOCRACY WAS USED was with the 1st and with danzo...it's safe to assume that the fire country ALLOWED the current hokage to appoint a successor to avoid situations where a new hokage would have to be chosen in times of danger/war (i.e. the example you gave in your original post). so even though tobirama said "we will use democracy from now on", doesn't mean he had the final say so in the matter...he wasn't even a kage when he made this statement so it really means nothing. AGAIN i ask....WHERE IS THE HYPOCRISY?
To others: im not blaming the fire country or people but only the 2nd hokage. He was a hypocrite, he made hashirama believe the hokage should be elected but discontinued it later.
