The only Hokage's itachi can beat is tsunade and minato with no knowledge. I don't see him beating tobirama or the 3rd Hokage.

Itachi did not fight Nagato alone he had the 2 best jinchuuriki's with him.:flaw::flaw:. Itachi cannot beat Nagato.

I'm just rolling the idea around at this point, but here is what we do know. Tobirama used both Water element techniques. It's reasonable to assume that Tobirama with the hype would be able to use techniques like Great Waterfall, Water Clone, Water Prison, Colliding Wave, Gunshot(Something similar to what Bunta used which I would compare to Water Dragon Bullet), Syrup Trap, Wild Bubble Wave, Violent Water Wave, Water Wall, Water Fang Bomb, Water Shockwave, and Water Trumpet. To suggest otherwise would be retarded, and all are low-level. The Sword of the Thunder God is Anime-only, so I'll even take that out.

The premise of the thread is that Edo Tensei is already prepared. Restricting all other Edo summonings except Orochimaru is a good idea as well because he has a 5 in the databook for genjutsu and has proven he is able to break Itachi's genjutsu is given a second. Now we'll start the ability comparisons.

I'll start with Itachi. Itachi while healthy we'll just go double his stamina. Meaning everything will be largely improved, including his Genjutsu and the length of time he can sustain Susano'o. The largest problem for Itachi will be the fact he has to face off against the Three Headed Snake, Manda, and Yamata no Orochi while contending with both Orochimaru and Tobirama. That'll require him to use Susano'o from the start. This time around, it won't be as simple as sealing Orochimaru due to his own overconfidence because Tobirama knows about him posessing The Sword of Totsuka and will likely give free reign to Orochimaru to use his own techniques. Itachi will need to find a way to keep his vison from being obstructed while either sealing Orochimaru beforehand, or obstructing him while dealing with Tobirama. I don't actually see Itachi winning this fight sadly, he faces a true problem, which is being outlasted.

Moving onto Tobirama and Orochimaru. Tobirama has the ideal setup, a running river right near him, he can keep Itachi from using his visual-based Tsukiyomi on him, due to his ability to constantly obscure his vision. Another plus is that Tobirama can likely use something quite similar to the Hidden Mist Technique, as well has having sensory abilities while touching the ground with his hand. Thus he can completely take away Itachi's ability to fight using his mastery of the Sharingan, and his visual-based genjutsu's. Even if Itachi were to land a genjutsu on Tobirama, he has an ally to get him out of it. Tobirama wins on the genjutsu side.

I won't bother explaining Taijutsu, it isn't worth the time. It's been said that Tobirama was quite skilled in Taijutsu, so we'll leave it as a draw because Itachi was as well.

To our knowledge, Itachi doesn't use much summoning, so Orochimaru/Tobirama win in this area hands down.

The real area of battle is Ninjutsu. Tobirama was likely the best Suiton user of his time, so we should assume his abilities are quite similar in level to Kisame. As said before, Tobirama's battle will be to outlast Itachi. Using the S-level summonings of Orochimaru, while obscuring Itachi's vision and obscuring his movements with the help of his Water style techniques and Orochimaru's summonings, the best course of action would be to wear Itachi down as quickly as possible. It won't be easy however, considering Itachi is now healthy. His best action taken would to be using the Susano'o, while attempting to use the Sword of Totsuka on the summonings as well as using Amaterasu sparingly, and at the same time using some form of genjutsu if possible, which I highly doubt he would be able to land it, would be his expected strategy. I can't say who wins in Ninjutsu, simply because we haven't seen Tobirama's best yet. In the area of Space/Time techniques Tobirama would win as well, simply due to the fact that Itachi doesn't have any.

At this point I would put it at a draw simply due to Orochimaru and his ability to break Itachi's genjutsu. Only thing I wish is that they would do background on all the previous Hokage. Anyways, here's my decision. Itachi High-difficulty.

Edit- To be completely honest, I don't believe that it matters much what water techniques Tobirama is using because its operating under the same premise in any scenario, Tobirama is simply keeping Itachi from casting Amaterasu and Tsukiyomi, and at the same time is slowing Itachi down with his Water techniques, and Orochimaru's snake summons.

needs more intel on Tobirama to really, really decide.. but I'm gonna decide on Tobirama anyway, he's a beast with water. I might would guess that any sharingan user will have difficult time with water users.. look at the pair-ups, Itachi with Kisame and Sasuke with Suigetsu.. Sure, the Uchiha bros ain't afraid of their partners, but I'll bet that they knew best not to pick a fight with them. In addition, Zabuza gave Kakashi a run for his money and he isnt the best water technique user. well, just like Kakashi isn't the best sharingan user, but whatever..

that is absurd bullshit. just because he was hyped to be able to use a high level suiton in a place where no water exists, doesnt mean he automatically knows every suiton ever. nor was suiton his specialty. edo tensei and kenjutsu were. the most frequent combat technique hes used is kenjutsu. therefore you expect him to have focused on that.

name another suiton user in that era. 2nd mizukage? all he used was water gun. not comparable to water dragon or really anything. so tobirama is the best by default which doesnt mean anything. itd be like me mentioning how onokis the best doton user in the world. elemental jutsus besides raiton have been largely unimportant for kage level shinobi.

how is that possible? suiton doesnt last forever. itachi breaks past the suiton wall with susano sword. or burns it to vapour with amaterasu. then he gets tobirama into finger genjutsu

Although I'd probably give it to Tobirama low/mid diff since he defeated Izuna.
