He was fast enough to mark Juubito multiple times, even though he had first-hand experience with FTG. See no reason why he couldn't mark Gai.

I already said this. My point is that Gai wasn't able to dodge Kisame's blows. If any skirmish of any kind were to take place Tobirama can easily mark him.

lmao He with no dif dealt with more better taijutsu users, and with Kisame it was not more then a test of strength in which Guy held is own in. It's not like Kisame Blitz him then hit him, he swong his sword, guy used nun chucks because it was foolish to try to block a sword with body parts.

This fight could go either way, but Tobimari tried to combat Gai he'll lose mid difficulty.

The scan proves nothing. It's about Gai's taijutsu ability which would prevent Tobi from laying a finger on him. We haven't seen any taijutsu feats from Tobi, so his best interest would be long distance attacks.

Also, there was no alive with comparable to Ay, Minato, and possibly Gai during Tobi's reign.

Gai wins, the guy can take on a 3T user such as Kakashi(who's better than Obito at taijutsu) for fun.

He's faster than Madara who's been keeping up with both Ay and Gai.

Level 2 doesn't exist, it was a mistranslation. He actually said "That was the two step Hiraishin!".

But anyway Tobirama takes him, with or without Kunai marking. Medium difficulty.

Tobirama doesn't even need to advance, placing a marking in a concealed area > back away and then let Gai make the first, and possibly last move.

When has Madara defended against Gai in hand-to-hand? Let alone demonstrate his speed in comparison to Gai. That was base Gai majority of the fight, particularly against Obito.

A CQC fight isn't necessary for Tobirama considering he has FTG. He throws a marked kunai at him and then proceeds to blitz him.

Even if they do fight hand-to-hand, all Tobirama has to do is lay a touch on him and the fight is over, and he's especially quick with his hands seeing as he tagged Juubito 5 times.

Tobi has shown one marked Kunia, that's easily deflected against someone like Gai. If not, Gai has a long distance offemse the repels thats quite easily, but that wouldn't be needed. Otherwise, Tobi would have to tag either Gai or an object to use ftg.

Tagging Gai is highly unlikely. Gai was shown that ability to react and countered to far greater threats than Tobi and standard use of Ftg. As Gai has defeated against the mechanics of Kamui, which is superior to ftg in versatility, i see not reason why Gai would fall to Tobi's ftg.

In a no knowledge situation, Gai has no chance to win. The time they enter close quarter combat, Tobirama will blitz him with Hiraishin thanks to a marked Kunai. He only has one range attack(Hirudora) and it would be dodge with hiraishin. On the other side, Tobirama can still use clones for diversion if he really feels the need

Yes, with no knowledge of course Tobi has the advantage. However, blitzing is in fact questionable. Closing the distance instantly is one thing, but that doesn't mean Tobi would motion fast enough to lay a hand on Gai w/ o him reacting according. He's shown great reaction speed.

No Gai stomps with or without knowledge.
