I don't really see why it matters, but the squad was called the Kinkaku squad so I don't see why its illogical to assume Kinkaku was in it at least. Anyways, we don't exactly know what happened after the coup attempt. The brothers could of succeeded and held power for a bit. This is probably the reason why the cloud and the leaf continued fighting, even after the peace talks.

Look here it is Tobirama killed izuna (said to be as powerful as madara) and almost killed madara if hashi didn't stop him also he invented a bunch of S-Rank and banned techniques he was so powerful that even the great madara said that in life he was on Par with him as shown when he almost killed him Danzo also stated that during his reign as Hokage, there was no shinobi who could match his prowess.
If this doesn't satisfy you then go read chapter 118-120 that anbu captain found his power hard to believe, even having high doubts that the Third Hokage could defeat both him and his brother despite the Third being revered as the God of Shinobi. Also the fact that Tobirama wasn't brought back with his full strength at that time furthermore emphasises his might. also in the Fourth Shinobi World War after being reincarnated, and still not quite back at his full strength, he was able to hold his own against Obito despite him being the Ten-Tails jinchuriki even managing to overpowering a couple of times therefore showing how Powerful he was. He was a genius with a lot of abilities such as sensory and being regarded as one of the greats users of taijutsu,ninjutsu and genjutsu.

The only reason he died was because he was exhausted fighting 20 S-Rank jounins while trying to buy time for his squad to get away.so to finally answer your question Tobirama can easily par up with his brother in anything they do and can easily overpower in many other things such as Genjutsu,intelligence , and sensory.
