Honestly, I really don't see Tobi has powerful at all, give Kakashi Uchiha madara and Senju Hashirama's powers then WE'D REALLY SEE POWERFUL. Despite Tobi having both senju and uchiha dna the only thing I could really see him doing in a fight without rinnegan is teleporting/warping, and going intangible. Kakashi knows over a 1000 jutsus he HAS to be able to counter being warped, if not, then I'd just lose all respect for Kakashi. Current Kakashi has all kind of insight on Tobi, I think Kakashi would destroy Tobi (without the rinnegan)
Tobi will win, but Kakashi has his chance. People are saying Kakashi doesn't have Minatos speed which is true but he uses Kage bunshins skillfully. With that, he could surprise Tobi at any moment and we all know that Kakashi is really skillfull with clones. He even managed to surprise a Sharingan user like Itachi and even a Rinnengan user like Pain Nagato. So when Tobi tried to absorb him into his dimension he could not notice in time that that was only a kage bunshin and got strike by Kakashi from behind. And if he really knows all about Tobi(that he needs 5minutes to stay intangible, Izanagi), he has more chances to find a plan of winning as he is really intelligent.
But anyway i see Tobi winning at the end.

with knowledge, kakashi with difficulty. he can set in a raikiri bunshin as bait and have it detonate as tobi tries to warp it, or make a kage bunshin as bait and raikiri tobi as he's moving in.
without knowledge, tobi easily. no one can defeat tobi without knowledge unless they have space/time, or an insanely fast counter.

Kakashi takes this with hard difficulty. I have my own reasons and to tell you that without Rinnegan he stole from Nagato he's nothing

if tobi can control kyuubi and teleport anywhere, how is kakashi supposed to win? besides we almost saw this fight and tobi was like "dont bother, your shit wont work on my swag". even if kakashi goes for when hes solid, one genjutsu and its over
