any one ever think tobi might just be a dude named tobi we have no back story on. I mean he could be madaras bastard child or maybe not even an uchiha. none of that is likely but no one else said it yet so i though i would throw that out there.

Here when kakashi and yamato capture tobi he seems to not being entirely truthful when he calls himself madara, and kakashi is still septical himself when he asks for confirmation which the man in the mask (identy unknown at this point) never gives. Another piece of evidence we always come back to is Zetsu, his creation and most trusted Ally calls him Tobi.
