one of the biggest antagonists of the series, nagato, was a character that kishi created in the middle of the series. he wasnt someone we had known prior to his fight with j-man. tobi is just tobi man deal with it until kishi tells us its someone else

But his appearance was shadowed in the first part of naruto showing there was something leading up to him... I would say that naruto is on its last lap so introducing someone new is very unlikely .. although its still possible
Imagine if tobi turned out to be a senju

Why is Sasuke's father mentioned? I thought you said Tobi was Madaras brother revived. How could Sasukes father kill his wife if she is alive later on?

Tobi a Namikaze??

I've been thinking about this for quite a few months now....and I've seen all the theories of who Tobi is and why. Some of you came up with rather great ideas, others not so much...Even I have a couple of who it might be and this just adds on to it.

We all see Tobi as an Uchiha, through his use of the Sharingan. BUT he has yet to actually use a genjutsu tech. The only tech we've seen him use was Izanagi against Konan.

Ok, here's the juicy part. Throughout my research of various sites I came across the different clans. One being the Namikaze....Minato being the first that I've seen from it, but they were known for being the Space-Time Users.

Curiousity got the better of me, thinking that if they were S-T users, could Tobi also be one......seen the battle at the Valley of the end undetected through manipulation of time and space and saw the outcome, thus the actual Madara being dead, shown as we see now as an Edo.

That site also says that the Namikaze are closely tied with the Uchiha and Senju. Now anyone knows that if you're closely tied to any particular bloodline, you're likely to have some sort of birth "defect" of that certain clan. Well since the Namikaze being so closely tied, who's to say that one was born with the Sharingan, and able to use S-T warping jutsu since we haven't seen him use any...we only assume. It could be another type of jutsu he uses to take over the fox. What is it....we don't know...

actually madara has a twin lost a birth but actually they are triplets lost at bith and one of them is a girl she died of aids though. And Tobi is the lost triplet and when Izuna and madara switched eyes they actually did a 3 way trade, so Madara has one of tobi's eyes and one of izunas, thats why all three of them have the rinnegan. the dead triplet was edo'd by tobirama and is now the 5th hokage.

im pretty sure there isn't a namikaze clan kishi would have said something about it by now.

i think he is purposely not saying anything about them so that if he wants to make a namikaze clan later on, he wont be contradicting anything he said earlier

idk. It seems to me like minato wouldve recognized tobi's S/T jutsu as being from his own clan if that were true
