This picture is THE ONLY piece of evidence that convinces me that Tobi is Izuna and is preventing me from accepting other theories. NO OTHER LOGICAL character would act in this manner but someone who shared some sort of bond/emotional tie to Madara. Who else fits but his younger brother?

Hi fellow Narutojunkies, i'm new here

First of all, i think Tobi is Madara's little brother for the same reasons mentioned by others who think alike (eyes mine to begin with etc).

I have 1 crazy suggestion based on absolutely nothing and maybe someone can tell me more about this person because I cant recall reading anything about him.

Could Tobi be a Sarutobi, for example Konohamaru's father?? If anyone knows something about Konohamaru's dad please inform me.

yeahhhh, so, with the latest comment of Tobi to Kakashi, I'm thinking Konoha routinely teamed Uchihas up with Kakashis in squads. This would explain why Kakashi was Sasuke's sensei, since Kakashi had no heir to train with Sasuke. Kakashi had Obito, and I'd bet that White Fang had Setsuna. Perhaps Setsuna was supposed to die on that storied mission. White Fang went back for him, and saved him. Setsuna got wise to what was going on, escaped, and Danzo and the rest of Konoha freaked out at the danger White Fang just released into the world. Ergo, shame and suicide. The comment from Tobi to Kakashi is because Kakashi should have remembered him by now, since he was his dad's teammate.

Hey, no worries. Kishi is a master troll. Whoever Tobi ends up being certain folks are going to be excited, shocked, or disgusted depending on who they thought it would be, but I hope they don't dwell on it.

Regardless of who Tobi is the bottom line is that Kishimoto kept us guessing, theorizing, debating, fighting and laughing about who it might be for years. That was his purpose from the start and the only thing worth considering when Tobi's identity is finally revealed. I will be applauding no matter who it is.

There are still major conflicting points with the Obito theory such as his unexplained shift to evil and how Tobi was an adult when Obito wasn't even alive or just a child.
